(From Italian, then directly into almost all other European languages as a borrowed word). Hob. XVI:23 is a piano sonata. I enjoyed the performance too.
I could only bear to listen to the first part why does the pianist play rubato? does this fit Haydn's style of music? Why doesn't a pianist play synchronized notes that should sound simultaneously? Why does a pianist roughly accent the second beat of a bar when resolving dissonance?
