It’s more the government that won’t let language like this be shown on tv before the watershed like they used to. I wouldn’t say it’s the viewer’s fault. We live in a nanny state nowadays sadly.
Kathy knew Phil and Sharon had an affair but not that after it was done she kissed Phil who then pushed her away but she was hypocritical too as she knew Sharon cheated on Grant and said nothing. She said she didn't care if Grant beat Phil but when he did she was worried. When she left Phil later it was because she'd put up with a lot already and refused to go back to him. Just like Grant didn't stop until he pushed Sharon and Tiffany away

The characters were written better and when they come back it's not the same just like with Grant and the new Michelle. Kathy still dislikes Sharon after she kissed Phil behind her back and threw an engagement party. Michelle didn't tell Kathy because she was caught between her and Sharon. Sharon did kiss Phil that time and wanted him after it all went wrong with Grant and he chose Kathy. He was better with Kathy and Sharon with Grant or Dennis
Every original character who was brought back years later was 10 times more interesting in the beginning than they are when they're brought back. The writing back then was 10 times better, as was the acting.
"Calm down will ya" WTF? Phil you're an embarrassment. He gets caught cheating and has the nerve to act as if Kathy's overreacting. I remember that episode that the tape refers to, and they're both definitely lying to Kathy here. They were on the verge of sleeping together until Phil stopped at the last second. They're gross people.
