Normally, I do not approve of piggybacking off things with cult followings, like DS art, but when you make music like this you just gotta stand back and praise the sun god
That's how i discovered one of the best prog bands ever, the band called 'Gentle Giant', i found the album cover so wicked that i had to click on it, and then boom, hooked.
I guess I feel like it's doing well because I'm following all of my favorite vapor artists and labels on Bandcamp and get notifications pretty much daily about new music and physical drops. I'm sure you're correct that it was most popular a while ago but the scene is still alive and well from what I've witnessed from being in it the past couple of years.@@Whisper0ak
I came to understand that I got most of my new music inspiration from UA-cam rather than Spotify. People praise Spotify's algorithm, but the stuff I discovered in here is quite amazing.
I swear there's something so hypnotic about the last song ("take care, it's a desert out here") It feels like I'm stuck in the Overlook Hotel, smoothly dancing with some ghost people, sipping some fancy Martini cocktail and moving my shoulders slowly to the never-ending song with that relentless echo... and I'm enjoying it. Truly fascinating
I like how people who don't know about Dark Souls were still intrigued by the cover art. To those who haven't played it you really should. It has the same relaxing vibe.
Across the ramparts of the Undead Burg, a warrior gazes in the distance. A wanderer just like me, ruminating our existence. This man is devoid of fame, kind words prove his good intentions. The stranger calls me by my name as he stares into the sunset.

A special thanks to all the humans involved on the creation of such a gorgeous piece of art. I'm brazilian, and as we always say, 'I'm sorry for my bad english 😄
( 1:31:13 take care, it’s a desert out there ) is my favorite bit, and after some searching I found the original here ua-cam.com/video/XH7JdtXrWQM/v-deo.html Astrud Gilberto - Maria Quiet
This is a beautiful experience listening to this because it ascends the mundane task of folding weeks old laundry and putting it away. This is exactly what I needed literally after a sun-energy based meditation.
A person who sat in his room playing dark souls over and over becoming more hollow day by day who likes dungeon synth and black metal must have made this. Cheers!
When I say 'for the fogs about the earth may weigh you down' has a kick to it. I grew up in the black southern church and certain church songs will always bring out this type of "swing". I am not religious anymore, but f.f.a.e.m.w.y.d. brings me right back to those days of my childhood... singing with my family and community as we praise the wind.
And therein lies the crux of our admiration; it turns us blind to this light fantastic the absoluteness of our inner sun a landscape of the soul scarred and shriven clean all we now see is nary the shadows which tells us the danger.

@@WeirdRoamingWolf trip hop is an old school term for what this music may be. I used the term to accentuate the arcane aspect of the overall vibe.
