UPDATE!!! This siren is no longer functional. I have since taken out all the electronic components and chopper and I am going to be re-purposing all of the parts for newer sirens. (in other words, I didn't like the way it sounded and the motor was way too overpowered for how small it was.) It is now just a decorative model.
Nice, that one sounds smooth. I tried to make Federal Signal STL-10 with ACA Cyclone's hat, it's loud with running 5V AC/DC. What material do you use for the chopper/stator? I used hard paper.
I use different size cardboard tubes that can range from poster tubes, to empty duct tape rolls. I usually peel out a few layers and sand the inside so it gives me a little bit more space to work with or so that the chopper can fit in in the first place.
I'm working on a Thunderbolt and a 2001 right now but I want to try 3D printing the thunderbolt chopper and I want to add a rotator to my 2001. Those are both huge roadblocks for me.
