The River 2, River 2 Max, and River 2 Pro had the AC outputs on the front as well so I think they used that design due to popular demand. I do like the AC outputs in the front as well. The original River series has the AC outputs and charging (the device itself) on the sides which was just as bad.
There's dozens of us!
I prefer the AC ports on the back for a stationary use. For example, if I am using it as a UPS for my computer, now the power cord comes out of the front of the EcoFlow and then has to be routed to the back of the computer. Previously, the cords were all hidden.
But I seem to be in the minority, thus I understand why EcoFlow moved them to the front. On the other hand, EcoFlow reduced the number of grounded receptacles from 6 to 3, which is a definite down grade.
Fair first point and I understand what you're saying. And DEFINITELY a fair point on the second.
Same here, I lake usb and display on front and plugs at the back. Don’t like everything on the side too. Its perfect the way it is
@@aijokkerI agree. I use my Delta 2 almost all year inside a vehicle and like that the main cables are in the back, with screen display on the front, and the cable for powering the 800W alternator on the side. The double solar cable port is an improvement on the new Delta 3 (like the Delta Max).
The smaller extra smart battery is an improvement over the Delta 2 extra battery. Just a pity that the new Delta 3 Plus extra battery doesn't work with the Delta 2 (although the Delta 3 Plus will accept the old version Delta 2 extra battery).
Is there an option to use both an alternator charger and an additional battery at the same time? With only one port, I doubt it's possible.

@@JohnWCHThank you. Strange concept of the company, they sell a set of delta 3 + alternator charger, also released an extra battery for this model but did not think through how it will work together. Strange approach.
