Curious: Why change Rodri to Kvaratskhelia? Spain has more favorable fixtures (compared to Georgia), Rodri is just as likely to win MOTM, being one of the best players, and is cheaper.
Georgia has more favorable fixtures imo. Turkey is struggling and I think they can get a point out of the Czechia game as well. They only face Portugal in MD3, when Fran will likely Limitless. Plus Kvara is a forward listed as midfielder on penalties (kind of a cheat code if things go right). As for man of the match, if both Georgia and Spain win, Kvara is more likely to win it, because as a forward he can have a bigger contribution. Also very hard to predict if a midfielder can win man of the match, you need a very specific scenario where the award doesn't go to someone who scored. Finally, Rodri is cheaper but just €0.5m cheaper, nothing special
I think the Spain MOTM share is much likely to be split between our best players (Yamal, Pedri, Rodri) and even Morata/Williams or the fullbacks can take it as edge picks. The more dominant you are in all phases of play, like Kvara is compared to his peers, the easier it would be for him to get a higher MOTM share.
Spain has Croatia then Italy not sure how that's more favourable. Rodri may get more ball recoveries in those games as a result but it greatly limits his attacking threat.

@@blackluke789 thanks! I think that’s the compromise I’m willing to make on the midfield by stacking up forwards and squeezing in Cancelo. Interesting, I have the same front 3 and a similar defence. The only thing I don't like is your midfield, surely there are better options than Soboszlai and the Georgian guy for the same amount of money. Nice work, but somethings worry me. DiMarco and Jorginho have bad MD2, and TAA could be in rotation, so if you got unlucky with one injury you are almost without subs for MD2, yes you can do 2 transfers but you are very limited
Jorginho doesn't bring attacking returns anyway, so you can look at him in 2 ways: 1. he's always a bad pick if you highly consider consistent attacking returns (penalties are not guaranteed to happen) 2. he's not a bad pick even in a bad fixture, cause being against Albania or Spain doesn't change much: the majority of his points will still come from ball recoveries, and those always happen. In fact it might be that he recovers more against Spain than Albania, since Italy is a ball dominant team and will likely hold possession a lot. Not much room for ball recoveries in that case Dimarco is different, as he relies more on clean sheets and consistent attacking returns (assists mainly). So a bad fixture is bad for him and you should swap him out
@@holahovito11 As I said, penalties are not guaranteed to happen, it *might* be worth it. It might also be a waste of €5m lol At the end of the day you're all betting on the fact people ton of penalties are given, otherwise your player won't score. I can't predict it will happen
@@blackluke789 It's not about betting on penalties happening. You need 15 players and not all can start. If you can spend 5mil on a mid it will help you improve somewhere else. His ownership is high for a reason.
Eriksen (or Szoboszlai) + Gundogan is better for MD1. Denmark will probably win 1-0 or 2-0. Germany's pens are taken by Gundogan according to many websites.
I don't like Gundogan as an attacking midfielder who averages close to 0 key passes, but I'd still pick him and Eriksen over someone else + Jorginho. I'd rather have two players that can bring returns instead of just 1. I don't trust Italy getting a penalty, you can't predict it
I'm more worried about Saka's fitness and minutes as a result. Historically Saka has performed much better than Jude/Foden but this is also the tournament where I can see the bookies are high on the latter two players and less so with Saka due to the uncertainties at play. IMO I'd prefer Saka if I knew he was 100%
Every Matchday goes on for multiple days (MD1 starts Friday and ends on Tuesday for example) and you can change captain in between matches. So at the beginning you can take risks, the best option would be a defender who can score or get an assist (Mittelstädt is suggested, since he's in many teams). If it doesn't go well, you always have other picks day by day, ending with Portuguese players on Tuesday or until you're happy
Great video! I do have my doubts on Kvaratskhelia and Szoboszlai though and I'm a bit surprised to see them in your team after having watched your previous video's. I understand the whole motm argument but that's also one of the few elements that you haven't got data for. And while Kvaratskhelia and Szoboszlai have fewer teammates to compete with for MOTM, the chances of their teams winning their matches are far lower than some alternative players. That will also affect motm odds (especially for MD2). Then considering the fact that their expected goal/assist odds are far lower than for instance the combination Shaqiri/Wirtz I would've really expected different choices here.
The issue is regarding minutes for the latter two players. Odds assume you usually play a full match most often and Shaq/Gundo will very much be earlier subs, which makes the argument a lot closer. Szobo in particular is very good at ball recoveries too.
Thoughts on my team? I’ve gone with Gulasci, Lunin Mittelstadt, Tah, Maehle, Konoplia, Castagne Rodri, Højbjerg, Wirtz, Trossard, Bruno Kane, Mbappe, Lukaku The idea is to transfer Maehle to Gvardiol for matchday 2 as Maehle plays England but Gvardiol plays Albania The second transfer will be decided after matchday 1
I like the draft bar Hoj, Castagne. Gulacsi if I'm honest. You can also save money from Castagne imo, and I don't really like Gulacsi at all for that price.
@@FPLFran Gulasci I get but I can’t find a better 4.5 keeper that I like that rotates well with Lunin, besides I’m confident Lunin will get me some decent points and he plays second so I’ll not have to rely on Gulasci, Højbjerg has scored in his last 3 games for Denmark which I know are only friendlies but he’s in great form going into the tournament and has a decent record at past tournaments (usually for assists) with a decent chance of getting ball recovery points, Castagne’s just one of them where I have that feeling about him and I’m scared if I remove him he’ll haul 🤣
You can change captain every day within the gameweek, however, you cannot change back so always captain the player playing first and then decide if his points are enough to keep or to gamble on a new captain
Also you cannot change captain within the same day so if you puck captain at 2pm game you cannot change to 5pm game, can only change captain the next day
I personally think this draft is not great. Your attack is way past its prime (Lukaku and Cristiano). Your cc is full of risky bets (Slobo, Kvara and Jorginho), and I’m in awe with how you think your defence line is a strong one. There is a reason if almost nobody heard of Mittelstadt, Tah and De Cuyper before the publication of the Fantasy List and that reason is that they are mediocre players. The fact that they are “a bargain” as they are nailed for starting doesn’t make them stronger.
I think the point is that for defenders, the "most" important isnt their individual skill, but the strength of the team they are playing for. If you find cheap defenders for good teams that you know will be starting its still a strong defence, even though they themself might not be the strongest players. Of course individual skill (assists/goals etc) play a part. But its less predictable, than clean sheets.
Curious: Why change Rodri to Kvaratskhelia? Spain has more favorable fixtures (compared to Georgia), Rodri is just as likely to win MOTM, being one of the best players, and is cheaper.

@@TWill1606 yes, but you can just drop Fodeen to a relevant 7m mid (Gundo). And then enjoy. It seems, anyways, that Mbappe is very good.

Thank you Rohitz! Didn't think we'd get this far...
Who is our starting 11 and captain?
Just need to know who to bench and who to captain please :)
you just line up based on the day of play mate. There is an auto-sub mechanic. and you choose a captain daily
Nice work, but somethings worry me. DiMarco and Jorginho have bad MD2, and TAA could be in rotation, so if you got unlucky with one injury you are almost without subs for MD2, yes you can do 2 transfers but you are very limited
IF
Jorginho doesn't bring attacking returns anyway, so you can look at him in 2 ways:
1. he's always a bad pick if you highly consider consistent attacking returns (penalties are not guaranteed to happen)
2. he's not a bad pick even in a bad fixture, cause being against Albania or Spain doesn't change much: the majority of his points will still come from ball recoveries, and those always happen. In fact it might be that he recovers more against Spain than Albania, since Italy is a ball dominant team and will likely hold possession a lot. Not much room for ball recoveries in that case
Dimarco is different, as he relies more on clean sheets and consistent attacking returns (assists mainly). So a bad fixture is bad for him and you should swap him out
@@blackluke789 A 5mil Midfielder on Penalities is worth it. Especially when you have the likes of Bruno, Mbappe and Cancelo on the bench.
@@holahovito11 As I said, penalties are not guaranteed to happen, it *might* be worth it. It might also be a waste of €5m lol
At the end of the day you're all betting on the fact people ton of penalties are given, otherwise your player won't score. I can't predict it will happen
@@blackluke789 It's not about betting on penalties happening. You need 15 players and not all can start. If you can spend 5mil on a mid it will help you improve somewhere else. His ownership is high for a reason.
If you only were focused on matchday 1 would your prefer Eriksen and Gundo or Jorginho and Foden?
Eriksen (or Szoboszlai) + Gundogan is better for MD1. Denmark will probably win 1-0 or 2-0. Germany's pens are taken by Gundogan according to many websites.
I don't like Gundogan as an attacking midfielder who averages close to 0 key passes, but I'd still pick him and Eriksen over someone else + Jorginho. I'd rather have two players that can bring returns instead of just 1. I don't trust Italy getting a penalty, you can't predict it
Eriksen + Gundo
Eriksen or Jorginho?
Eriksen
What captains u picking?
Trent, Mbappe, Ronnie
Can somebody tell me Costa or raya
costa , portugal has a strong defense
@@rodrigopereira7450 thx
Raya doesn't even start for Spain sadly!
Foden or saka hmm
Tough one - just think Saka's minutes are a bit dubious due to injury so I like Foden for now...
What are your thoughts on Saka vs Foden?
Had the same question
Just choose one nobody know who’s gonna be better
I'm more worried about Saka's fitness and minutes as a result. Historically Saka has performed much better than Jude/Foden but this is also the tournament where I can see the bookies are high on the latter two players and less so with Saka due to the uncertainties at play. IMO I'd prefer Saka if I knew he was 100%
Congrats on 30K🔥
Thank you bro!
Can someone explain how captains work? Makes ot sound like you can change it every game.
Yes you have the option to change every day
You can change as often as you like, as long as the new captain has not played yet. You can change even after your current captain has played.
Thanks guys
You can change it every day, so one captain for the 14 June games, and then you can swap to a 15 June captain and so on until you settle on one.
And who will be on your bench?
The ones who play last so Lunin; Fernandes, Kvara & De Cuyper I'd imagine.
there isn't really a bench in this game - but Sleep has it correct.
@@sleep99PS3wait can we sub endlessly between matches?
who is your captain going to be, you mentioned multiple but only one is allowed no?
No you can switch daily
You can change it after every day - so 14 June, 15 June.. and so on
@@FPLFran I can switch it daily but if i switch do my points go back to half or do they stay doubled
@@maxoooTRADESthey go back.
Foden over Saka?
More doubts over the latter's fitness.
The best option for a captain?
Every Matchday goes on for multiple days (MD1 starts Friday and ends on Tuesday for example) and you can change captain in between matches. So at the beginning you can take risks, the best option would be a defender who can score or get an assist (Mittelstädt is suggested, since he's in many teams). If it doesn't go well, you always have other picks day by day, ending with Portuguese players on Tuesday or until you're happy
@@blackluke789thank you
You can rotate them every ‘day’ of the MD. What Luke said is quite sensible
How does it work for captains to earn more points?
Captain tah or middelstat?
Mitt
@@FPLFranYou really think Trent will start?
Lets go ~~~!
Vamos!
I’ve gone with
Gulasci, Lunin
Mittelstadt, Tah, Maehle, Konoplia, Castagne
Rodri, Højbjerg, Wirtz, Trossard, Bruno
Kane, Mbappe, Lukaku
The idea is to transfer Maehle to Gvardiol for matchday 2 as Maehle plays England but Gvardiol plays Albania
The second transfer will be decided after matchday 1
@@georgebailey7080 might as well cheapen down more and go Stanek
How many times Can you change captaincy each gw?
You can change captain every day within the gameweek, however, you cannot change back so always captain the player playing first and then decide if his points are enough to keep or to gamble on a new captain
Also you cannot change captain within the same day so if you puck captain at 2pm game you cannot change to 5pm game, can only change captain the next day
@@davidhollis7229Thanks! Rate my team:
GK: Verbruggen, Diogo Costa
DEF: Trent Arnold, Tah, Mittelstadt, Diamarco & De Cuyper
MID: Eriksen, Saka, Wirtz, Jorginho & Bruno Fernandes
FOR: Lukaku, Mbappe & CR7
once every 'day' of play. So a 14 June captain, then a 15.
Is trossard a good option?
for 8 Million I wouldnt say so
@@elzinga87 really tempted to keep him
Yes, a great option and will likely get high points in the first match
Definitely imo - but ofc prone to being subbed by Bakayoko
I personally think this draft is not great. Your attack is way past its prime (Lukaku and Cristiano). Your cc is full of risky bets (Slobo, Kvara and Jorginho), and I’m in awe with how you think your defence line is a strong one. There is a reason if almost nobody heard of Mittelstadt, Tah and De Cuyper before the publication of the Fantasy List and that reason is that they are mediocre players. The fact that they are “a bargain” as they are nailed for starting doesn’t make them stronger.
Tah has been great this season and many have heard of him, but agree with rest
id love to hear your defensive line, and see how many rotational options you have lol
Who do you have on your team?
I think the point is that for defenders, the "most" important isnt their individual skill, but the strength of the team they are playing for. If you find cheap defenders for good teams that you know will be starting its still a strong defence, even though they themself might not be the strongest players. Of course individual skill (assists/goals etc) play a part. But its less predictable, than clean sheets.
This guy is clueless
Gk pickford & costa
Def - TAA, mittlestadt, di marco, tah & faes
Mid- de bruyne, rodri, gundogan, jorginho & fernandes
Str- kane, ronaldo & lukaku
Thoughts?
great team looking back now - at least you don't have Mbappe and the midfield didn't pop but you have moves to make at least.
thoughts on Frimpong?
I think minutes are shaky
