The text showing the channel name when you change channels would stay at the top of the screen where it's meant to be, but you did get a fully scrambled picture for a second or so every time you changed channel.
As there was only so much space to broadcast, channels timeshared on analogue satellite. TLC would broadcast from 9am-4pm before handing over to Discovery, which would then broadcast from 4pm-2am.
I can tell you exactly what that was. Zee TV (at the very start) was a standalone subscription service with its own card. It couldn't decode any other channels. So you see the Zee TV card being swapped with the Sky card around 0:35.

@Spencer Lent Because you often with these old analogue receivers had to type the name of the channel in yourself, so many people just abbreviated it.
