As a revert who came to Islam from my own independent research, you are right. Any objective reading of the history and Quran and sunnah can only rationally and logically lead you to the real Islam of following the Quran and Ahlul Bayt.
But as the Quran states, true believers will always be in the minority.

My logic as a convert muslim: if the existence of the 12 rulers is mentioned in the literature of both sects, Sunni and Shia, then it's true.
What is even more revealing is Sunni literature had a default position of censoring anything which goes against their narrative especially if it portrayed companions in a negative way.
The fact you see the hadith of 12 successors in their literature shows how it was prevalently that it was mentioned or that they couldn't avoid including it. Or they thought they could play down the significance and be dismissive of it with their random lists
12 infallible Imam is a basic tenet of Shias, it must be proved from Quran. Other books are not the appropriate source to prove or validate Aqueeda or the basic belief system of any sect.
This concept of 12 Imam is a FAKE concept.

The "truth" has to be based on sources that are true. What is going on in these lectures is that your truth is being validated against (Sunni) books that contain much falsehood. There is just one Book that is the Truth available to us today. Every Muslim, regardless of their sect, has this Book in their homes. The question to ask the self: Do my truths match the Book of Truth? I implore you to study the Quran without xyz's book influencing its narrative.
Sometimes I feel like why don’t we just ignore and stop proving ourselves to them, then I remember the struggles all the prophets have to go through to win a soul for Allah. Indeed it’s not their physical eyes that’s blind but their hearts are black and hardened and Allah is even hardening them more so they can neither see nor accept what the Quran and their books tell them.😢😢

On the day (of the battle) of Khaibar the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Tomorrow I will give the flag to somebody who will be given victory (by Allah) and who loves Allah and His Apostle and is loved by Allah and His Apostle." So, the people wondered all that night as to who would receive the flag and in the morning everyone hoped that he would be that person. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked, "Where is `Ali?" He was told that `Ali was suffering from eye-trouble, so he applied saliva to his eyes and invoked Allah to cure him. He at once got cured as if he had no ailment. The Prophet (ﷺ) gave him the flag. `Ali said, "Should I fight them till they become like us (i.e. Muslim)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Go to them patiently and calmly till you enter the land. Then, invite them to Islam, and inform them what is enjoined upon them, for, by Allah, if Allah gives guidance to somebody through you, it is better for you than possessing red camels."

A biography of the most influential Hadith authors would be very interesting.
Whoever this Sheikh is needs to stop lying to his followers and read them in their own sunni sources that the Prophet(p.b.u.h) said that he left behind the Quran and Ahlulbayt. The ignorant sheikh saying that shia will go to hell will be the one going to the fire along with those who were the munafiqeen trying to kill our beloved Prophet (p.b.u.h).

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
"The Prophet (ﷺ) sent ⤵ Abu Bakr with the (announcement of) Bara'ah (the declaration to publicize the disavowal of the idolaters). Then he summoned him and said: 'It is not right for anyone to convey this except a man among my family.'"So he called for ➡'Ali and gave it to him."
Tl;dr: Prophet didn't even let Abu bakr to broadcast a revelation, why would he implicitly choose Abu bakr as successor bcoz he was an imam when prophet was sick. And then later he removed Abu bakr. If i am sick and the school assings a substitute, and then i come in the middle of the day and remove the substitute. What does that say to you?
Sunni and shia can agree that the messenger and the quran was not enough.
The sunnis needed the caliphs and then the 4 imams to make decisions about fiqh and islamic jurisprudence.

Those are from their books, not our books. Our books state that Ahl Al-Bayt are 14 people (Muhammad, Fatima, and the 12 imams).
Sayyed Ammar's point is that even from Sunni sources the wives are not part of Ahl Al-Bayt and that the family of Ali are from Ahl Al-Bayt.

I will put in a synopsis of this video.
1. Fathul Baari, Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani: the hadith of pen and paper - Rasullah (SAW) was going to have written that Ali (AS) was going to be the Khalifa after him. According to Qastalani, "Imam after him".
2. Sunan Abu Dawud, The Book of Imam Mahdi, says there will be 12 successors and all of them will be agreed upon by the ummah.
Problems with the Sayyed's arguments in this video.
1. He's taking a defensive stance with some of his arguments.
2. Muhammad (SAW), in fact IS mentioned by name in the Bible. Song of Solomon. So that's a bad example. You should at least concede.

Uqbah bin Amir was close friend of Muawiyah and supported him against Imam Ali as. So we don't care what he narrated.

At the end of the day, are we not all following the same Quran? Even the Prophet admits to being a Man like us and make mistakes (Minor), except God corrects Him. So how can any Sahaba, be it AbuBakr, Umar or Ali be different? Yes Ali is more suitable but elevating him to God-like status. So, is Ali greater than Prophet Muhammad S.A.W???

Tell me from where u come to this conclusion. Claiming shia says so. Gimme a proof
No Ali is not a God but a servant and a obedient slave of God. and yes everyone makes mistakes but it also depends on what you describe as mistake. Walking away from people in anger is a mistake, but rejecting what Allah has ordered after Allah has shown all signs he is God, it is not a mistake. In Quran 2:247 Allah's unnamed prophet says Allah chose Talut as their king over them. But the people rejected him. So Talut can never be equal to those who rejected Allah's commandment. We cannot say those people were companions of a prophet of their time so we have to follow them. No we have to follow Allah his messenger and whoever his messenger chooses. And Allah chose Ali ibn talib as leader after prophet Muhammad saw to guide the ummah. We aren't following The same Qur'an simply because you take this Qur'an according to the interpretation of Your Scholars and we take the interpretation of Our Scholars (S).
As for The Prophet (S), He is different from your prophet (saw) because your prophet (saw) was taken from Our Prophet (S) but The Hypocrites don't take all from Him (S) but what suffices for their sect and attributed to that prophet (saw) many innovated and taken (from other Sahaba) defaults. And if you see in Qur'an that Prophets (S) made mistakes, know that's not mistakes for Allah Almighty because It is Him who commanded Them to do so. So, they didn't opposed Allah in reality. For example, Nabi Adam (S) approach the tree not by the invitation of Shaytan (l.a) but the Command of Allah Almighty even if Allah said to not approach the tree but do not approach the tree if He wanted to stay in this wordly paradise as an example that Shaytan (l.a) should not be listened otherwise you would be astray. So, in reality Adam (S) wasn't astray nor disobeyed Allah Almighty even if it is written like this. It is just an example to show us to not act like this. Son in reality no sins on Adam (S).
As for Imam 'Ali (S), in your own books (belief), He differed from them and was more knowledgeable of The Book of Allah and The Sunnah than them. So how about our books (belief) !
As for elevating 'Ali (S) as God-like Status is just with a group from Shi'a Sect and not all Sects especially The Ja'fariya Group of Shi'ism which is The True 12 Imami Group. And if you said that Creating is just for Allah so you should call Nabi 'Isa (S) being Allah Almighty. Don't associate The Attributes and Names of Allah with Allah. This Attributes and Names are Creations among The Creations of Allah. For example, Allah is AlRahman but we can also be rahman even if our rahma is let's say 0,000...1% of The Title AlRahman, it's still associated. That's why The Attributes and Names of Allah should not be associated with Allah and are a Creation. So, associating or giving all The Names and Attributes of Allah to The 14 Infallibles (S) is not Shirk at all. You made True Shirk when you come to say that a Creation is a God with Allah in the sense, that our worships are to this creation also (besides Allah), may Allah Almighty Forbed.
Imam 'Ali (S) of Shi'a is for sure greater than the prophet (saw) of Sunnis.
If you said that we said that 'Ali (r.a) of Sunnis is greater than the prophet (saw) of Sunnis thus it's a lie. 'Ali (r.a) of Sunnis is below the prophet (saw) of Sunnis.
If you said that we said that 'Ali (r.a) of Sunnis is greater than The Prophet (S) of Shi'a thus it's a lie. 'Ali (r.a) of Sunnis is below The Prophet (S) of Shi'a.
If you said that we said that 'Ali (S) of Shi'a is greater than The Prophet (saw) of Sunnis thus yes it's true. 'Ali (S) of Shi'a is greater than The Prophet (S) of Sunnis.
And if you said that we said that 'Ali (S) of Shi'a is greater than The Prophet (S) of Shi'a thus it's a lie. 'Ali (S) of Shi'a is equal to The Prophet (S) of Shi'a.
