Thanks for the recommendation!
@@dabbleandtravel The Carpathians are beautiful, both in winter and in summer you can have a luxurious and very cheap time, there are many beautiful small towns, castles, forests, mountains. mountain rivers, waterfalls, etc., well, + Lviv you liked it too I look, I also recommend Ivano-Frankivsk Kamenets Podolsky, Drohobych, in the Odessa region there are still interesting places is the city of Izmail and in the vicinity there are all kinds of natural parks, this is the Danube delta on the border with Romania , in the center of Ukraine, we also have many interesting places, for example, two beautiful parks of incredible proportions in Uman Sofievsky Park 180 hectares and in the Bila Tserkva 300, in the east of Ukraine the cities of Kharkiv and Dnipro

Odessa - such a beauty. Miss you so much, my favorite city. Живи и процветай.
Odessa looks Awesome !
It really is!
Francesco Carlo Boffo was a Swiss-Italian-born Neoclassical architect who designed more than 30 buildings in Odessa between 1818 and 1861, including the famous Potemkin Stairs. If you walk the old towns of most European cities, Odessa's architecture would look very similar.
Ukraine looks amazing to go visit. Haven't been watching vlogs lately, been super busy at work. See you around sometimes🙏🤗❤️😍💜💝💗💕
Spend some of that money you have been making Jabir lol.. I was talking to a guy from there and he was saying how cheap it is for food and the hotel there. It’s worth going alone for the beautiful girls there as well;)

Love your Ukraine videos guys! I knew some cities in the USSR and soviet satelites were destroyed during WWII and rebuilt in the soviet style (like Minsk or eastern Berlin) and that other ones were lucky to keep their historical centers, but just like you I also didn't know anything about the architecture (and history in general) of Odessa.

Odessa in English and in Russian 90% of odessians use russian
@@louisecorchevolle9241 And?
Thanks! 😃
@@louisecorchevolle9241 it's incorrect form cause it transliterate from Russian, correct transliteration only from Ukrainian, so Odesa.
@@louisecorchevolle9241 have you personally calculated each who use russian or it is just your wet fantasies about russian in Odesa? Even if nowadays still a lot of citizens uses russian, it is because a lot of rag-tags from Russia were brought to Ukraine decades back, and because Russia during centuries eradicated Ukrainian language. Hello beautiful how are you doing ☺
Most of historical buildings in Odesa was created under government of Armand Emmanuel Sophie Septemanie de Vignerot du Plessis or, as he known in Odesa - Duke Rishelie. Former French prime-minister and second mayor in history of Odesa after Russian conquest of city in 1792
well, this situation is
bad
I enjoyed your video
the woman who shouted near the Potemkin stairs called for a ride on a boat, but it looks wild, but the ride costs only $ 8 per person and it's worth it, there is an option on light boats, they actively maneuver, got a lot of pleasure with my wife, and got wet
Actually it’s not OdeSSa, but Odesa :) but your videos are super interesting, thanks for this one🙏🏻😁
Good to know!
Just came here March 1st ….2022. How sad that in just a couple of months so much could change
Honestly, praying for Ukraine 🇺🇦❤️
What is the time of your visiting Odesa? Which year is it?
Вітаємо всіх в Україні!!
Damn now most of these are destroyed...
No is not ! All is well and nothing has been damaged from the historic center
Happy birthday!
Will you visit more cities in Ukraine?
Hey! Thanks so much! Unfortunately not as our plans were cut short but another time for sure! 😇🤗
Just found your video. Great stuff. I love Odesa. (One "S" is the Ukrainian transliteration.)
Here's some stuff you guys mentioned that some might want some more details on.
-José de Ribas is who Deribasivskya is named after. That's a good start to Ukrainian history. It's addictive.
-Pre Russian full scale invasion (they actually invaded in 2014) soviet war memorials were preserved (Like you saw near Mozart). It is likely any references to Russia or the Soviet Union will be de-Russified in the coming years as Ukraine embraces a new European path.
- Lanzeron beach is considered walking distance to many Odesians in the city center. I'm American... it certainly is NOT for me! 🤣
- Odesa is one of Europe's most walkable cities!
- You nailed the architecture. It was purposefully designed to be French & Italian in style.
- No one cares, but my apartment is on Primorsky there near the stairs!
- Babushka's are Russian. Babusya's are Ukrainian.
- Kumenets is touristy. BUT... it is VERY well respected food-wise. And the non-happy indifference is also traditional! 😜🤣
- The Ukrainian restaurant kitchen has traditionally been the domain of the babushya. That is changing. But not at Kumenets. In many countries if you look in the "back of the house"/kitchen it is staffed by immigrants. In Ukraine is is staffed by grandmothers. As the culinary arts become a legit career in Ukraine, that is starting to change.
- Black Sea jelly fish are not poisonous (I think.).
Great video guys.
Thank you so much!
great video guys, hey did you pay for the funicular with your credit card?
Hey, Yep! You can tap on with your contact less card!
the first architects in Odessa were French, Italians, Germans, Austrians, mostly, then there were Soviet architects, now sometimes it seems that they are building without architects
All these architectural wonders that we see all over the world, are inherited, they are by no means built by our civilization. The whole official history is falsified.
and by the way, it is correct to write "Odesa" with one letter "s"
Welcome to Eastern Europe 🎉
Thanks for watching
The Queen Ekaterin 2nd called Odessa to be a free town inviting European architechters to build without a duties. It was an "off-shore" town like Britisch Vergine Islands now...
Creation of free town is credited to Count Louis Alexandre Andrault de Langeron
attacking Odessa would be similar to situation when serbs attacked Dubrovnik in Croatia
Write Odesa! Odesa is a Ukrainian city, therefore it is correct to write with one letter S
All citizens of Odessa never write Odessa with one "S".
@@Itwas2007 you're lying
I had always thought that Odessa was a city in Russia until today. There once was a famous bar and club in Brooklyn called Odessa in an area known to be Russian, I just discovered that it had closed back in 2013. The diner and cafe next to it closed Summer of last year. Anyway, sorry for the sob story... I wondered where it was that Molly watched theater and finally got the answer. I never knew Odessa was in Ukraine, obviously, but incredibly impressed by its architecture.
Ha ha 😄.Pollution dreams.Odesa is Ukraine.
Frankly speaking, I would rather expected that an American would think Odessa is a town in Florida.
By the way, Brooklyn is not Russian but Jewish...
Russian in Brooklyn are Jews from Odessa.
Russian culture is actually the culture of Ukrainian Jews. (It's a big secret)
@@andriyzas1995 So it is possible that many Ukrainian Jews may actually be Russians that emigrated into Ukraine.
there is Odessa in usa if you want as Paris, Texas
I am looking forward to taking train in that nation
Is it over 500 miles from kiev
Its called the Opera House not the Theater
Okay thanks
I can not wait to go to my Ukraine trip beginning of new year if still alive if my reservation still valid but think it got canceled
Looking forward see the gorgous ladies of ukraine
You are absolutely lovely.

Great job! Great videos! Are you from Britain?
Thanks! We sure are!
@@dabbleandtravel I've recognized the Briish accent! Pretty cool!
I was going to say it looks like Matt you need to visit a Ukrainian barbershop!
Whahahaha!
Actually the theatre isn’t the biggest sight in Odessa. There are the famous stars, the famous city gardens, one of the largest markets in east Europe, the famous courts, Passagen, central post office, the cathedral place, faltz fein house and so on… I suggest that you do some research before going to another town. There is a reason why Odessa has the nick name “Pearl of the South”. The architects of that city were Franz Frapolli, Alexander Bernardazzi, Franz Boffo. Who are Italian/ Swiss people.
Furthermore, the beach isn’t separated from the town. It’s part of the town. You seem not to comprehend the size of the city. The city does not just consists of just this little quarter you have seen. But great that you made this video any way.
Thanks for watching!
Hey
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
❤️❤️
Odessa was built by lots of European architects from Italy and France, thanks to Catherine the Great. All that info is easily found online.
Thanks to the Ukrainian peasants, whose work has made Odessa the largest grain port in the world. Catherine the Great was bitch.
@@andriyzas1995 Thanks to German peasants relocated after 1800

Hello cuties! Love and respect from Romania! Try the Odessa largest Bordwalk, I think is called "the romanian lady" :)
Huhh?!?? The Romanian Lady??? Now why would they title anything of their own origin, in Romanian...? I'm very curious to know, so please respond if you don't mind..... alright?? Much appreciated!!!
@@vladimator1842 I don't know exactly, maybe is not Odessa maybe is Crimeea.. Sorry... I was searching on Google but didn't found for now..
Why? Please be more informed in anny case. Ukraine has a huge history with ROmania, 1st of all 1500 and before, they where all speaking romanian! Secondly, Odessa is a verry tied city with Romania, look the kindom of Moldova, and also look Romania in ww2, Odessa was conquered by romanian troops. But in any case, Odessa I think is one of the few big cities from Ukraine that respects the romanian origins and I heard about the boardwalk some tv shows etc, I am not sure it exist I didn t checked but probably it does, if not maybe in Crimeea.
I think Crimeea was the cream of Ukraine if we talk about seaside, amazing place, but Russians as they always do, they stolen it. (I know it was gifted after ww to Ukraine but Ukraine deserved it because they where a big part of soviet union, expecially because the first capital of Russia was Kiev! )

Guys, love your videos but please, write Odesa instead of Odessa. SS - is a russian way to multiple letters.
Odessa has only French way
Odessa was founded and named by the Russian Empire. Why should its name be changed to "Odesa"?
@@Itwas2007 i agree. We should rename it to Kotsubiiv or Khadgybey
@@Itwas2007 Russian Empire was communicating in French. That's why Odessa derived from "eau dessous". Today's Russian inhabitants do not speak French and do not understand why should be Odessa.

odessa was built by one man...duke de richeilieu....he was hired by Catherine The Great in 1794 to build a great southern port. His statue adorns the top of the potemken steps. He hired italian and austrian architects to build the city. it took him 30 years. he died penniless. Odessa for me has the greatest vibe on the planet.
