@@TheGreatUnknownProductions Lorewise, I highly doubt that they only work on protagonists, I mean if it only worked on humans and Toad's that would make sense, but I reckon Bowser uses them too. Just like how, gameplay wise in smm2, like even if like a thwomp or Bowser happens to hit a pow block, they as well as all other enemies die but the player doens't, but that is obviously gameplay mechanics... (but I like to joke that it's lore too so that if POW Blocks existed irl then I would use them and if someone was being really annoying like they would just get effected too 😈) [Joke]
Bowser is perhaps the greatest character in fiction for not only repeatedly and canonically dying multiple times over 36 years, many of those deaths being quite brutal, but also never giving up on his goal and barely changing his tactics every time. Bowser’s body might be mortal, but his determination and ignorance are everlasting.
I hope in the second Mario movie they kill Bowser (and maybe some of his army), only for him to be brought back in a post-credit scene (perhaps by Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings)
TBH, I don’t think Bowser did die during the ending of Mario Odyssey. He was definitely just left on the moon after Mario, Peach, Cappy and Tiara escaped, and had to wait for someone like Bowser Jr. or Kamek so that he could escape
I forgot about how wholesome they made the ending to Mario Odyssey. Mario and Bowser really acting like their brothers who have a love hate relationship and peach not only rejects both of them but straight up steals Mario's vehicle and tries to abandon them. Probably the most personality we got out of them in a while. Kind of reminds me of the ending to Luigi's mansion too.

@@vados8500 Also sometimes Bowser just respawns, he can respawn all the time, just like Mario, and I think Mario respawning is canon rather than just starting the level over since like there arelives and 1UP mushrooms, and if Mario, Luigi the toads and even the princess has that power, it's obviously just a whole big canon thing for inhabitants of the Mushroom Universe, and like of course in Level Up animations and that when it focuses on another character like a goomba or something, they have lives and yeah, so Bowser probably can respawn too, that's just a thing in the Mario Universe.

Super Mario galaxy has to be his most gruesome “death”. He not only gets smacked in the face 6 times, he burns up falling into a star, drowns in lava, sinks into lava then gets blown up by a super nova. And this guy still can’t be mario?!

Actually bowser never dies and if he does explain why he is back in every game that even has one bowser even dry bowser is just bowser but with no skin or meat on his bones which means that bowser is immortal so he never dies
Bowser has died many times in mario games like falling into a lava,shot multiple times,hit by a giant egg,thrown into the explosives countless others. No matter how many times he died, he keeps coming back

- Failed to stop Mario's mobile app marathon
- Rode a giant Bowser robot, only for it to blow up in his face
- Overpowered by Paper Mario sacrificing Kersti, despite harnessing the full power of the last Royal Sticker
- Took a bath in Black Paint only to have his new paintjob ruined by Mario and Huey
- Defeated by Giga Cat Mario in an epic battle between two giants
- Tried to keep Mario from using the Giga Cat Bells against him after losing his Fury Bowser form, only to be beaten by a belly flop courtesy of Giga Cat Plessie
- Had his meticulously planned wedding crashed by the pesky Italian plumber. This was later followed by both him and Mario being denied a chance to get together with Princess Peach. And, to add insult to injury, he was soon left on the moon by Mario, Peach and both of their Bonneter companions
Not dying, just being defeated.

Actually bowser never dies and if he does explain why he is back in every game that even has one bowser even dry bowser is just bowser but with no skin or meat on his bones which means that bowser is immortal so he never dies
Bowser always comes back he never dies permanently
Bowser has died many times in mario games like falling into a lava,shot multiple times,hit by a giant egg,thrown into the explosives countless others. No matter how many times he died, he keeps coming back
