lol, Biomorph has been out for over a month now. It's quite good. Dragon is Dead looks like Death's Gambit and The last Faith had a baby. But having "rogue--______" in the genre description kills most of my interest instantly, I don't have the time to keep trying RNG-driven games like this. The demo for Ventures of the Vile didn't really vibe with me. Nine Sols is an instabuy. Especially if you enjoyed Sekiro's combat.
My BIG problem with the Blasphemous clones is, there´s no creative thing they make it on their own. Sprite style the same, animation the same, cutscenes the same jada jada jada. i have nothing straight against clones from games is there´s is in a good own style. But these look like fckg copy ripped from blasphemous for real if u know what i mean.
Blasphemous take a lot of classical elements from type "metrovania" games. So, the other games take this inspiration (graphics, physics, combat style) from this classical games as well. Otherwise, really, most of these games don't do big inovations into the ower games. But make games like as big companys (Konami, Capcom, Nintendo, Ubsoft etc) is so hard. These game of video are been done by small companys, for example., with few money and few people working inside it.

Acquiring new abilities is done in a boring way. The locations are monotonous,The level design is also monotonous, square and rectangular literally in visual terms.
Lot of really cool looking content. I'd love it if one of these studios would approach Konami and do a worthy Castlevania game! That would be so cool. Have the great music and ambiance of Super Castlevania, while perhaps updating some of the aspects of past games that made them great, for this era. Keep the soul of what makes Castlevania one of the greatest franchises ever, while giving it a bit of updating.

I can't stand how so many Metroidvania games are super hard "Souls like" now. Metroidvania's are so much better when they're fun and not obnoxiously hard and you actually get powerful as you progress. Symphony of the Night and the DS Castlevania games were so perfect when it came to difficulty because they could be challenging but with the right setup you were near godlike.

Dud you really need to move that overlay text (game title, release date, platforms) UP, because it clashes with the timeline segments; when you want to mouse-over a segment and see the game's name, the text appears in white and clashes with the text in your footage. Change your font (make it smaller) and move the whole thing up like a good 100pixels (measuring on a un-fullscreened youtube video in 2560x1440p. Keep it in the bottom-left corner, just please make not so annoyingly obtrusive. As someone who's just stumbled upon your channel for the first time, I've found this very off-putting, so take it as just feedback from a newcomer.

The metroidvania genre could be supreme on a console! You know which one? Mobile is a giant platform but lacking in good games. Because nowadays people hardly play much on the console. But I think they didn't see this needy market.
I appreciate the nostalgic charm of 8-bit artstyle games, but I feel like we've reached a point where there are too many of them flooding the scene. It's time for games to be more polished, like Hollow Knight, Nine Sols, etc. instead of giving low quality crappy detail imagery.
Man i Love 2D side scrolling games like this. But IMO I wish they made the games with more pixel density. I understand it should feel like old retro but you could make the more like Ori. Could even downgrade that graphics. Something between the both.
For me, all of these games feel like different parts of the same game. There's some cool things here, but since I've already enjoyed Castlevania: SOTN, I don't feel like these are unique enough for me to get invested it. But I can see these other games are great for people who have never experienced SOTN. Or people who have but they enjoy the clones.
Moon Samurai looks nice, reminds me of flashback meets Sifu. Trizna looks nice too.
