@@herb1003 Transporting cargo has nothing to do with your trains being diesel or electric. A railway with electric trains is perfectly capable of hauling freight. Take the Indian Railways as an example, which has a 100% electrified Rail network and transports 1 Trillion ton kilometers of freight every year. India runs double stack container trains that are electric. And the longest train in India is around 3.5 km long and hauls 27,000 tons of freight and even this train is powered by Electric locomotives. Most nations don't have trains this long. So if electric locos can achieve this much, your reasoning is moot. Around $23 Billion out of Indian Railways yearly revenue of $30 Billion comes from freight trains. And only $7 Billion comes from passenger trains. So it is true that transporting cargo is what pays for Railway infrastructure. But it can be done on electric trains.
@@death_parade I agree with you but for Kenya electrifying the rail increases the cost of the project. We can always electrify it as we have provisions for that. At the end of the day these railway projects will play a huge role in East, Central and the Horn of Africa prosperity in the future.
Kenya standard Guage railway road and stations are perfect, but car trains 🚆 are mess. It looks like those trains in 1900 and for Tanzania is a true definition of standard Guage railway 💯 %
The Tanzanian SGR can be stopped by monkeys and owls but the Kenyan SGR is immune to such creatures. Given that the Tanzanian SGR is not fenced which train driver will be stupid enough to drive at 160km/h?
Kaka nakubar sana video zako sema tuwekee video za tz🇹🇿 mambo ya kutushindanisha tz na Kenya so sawa
Be consistent!
Give us updates about lots from Dodoma to Mwanza and Kigoma. Achana na hizo comparisons!
Soon brother
Kenyan SGR and Tanzanian SGR are non comparable. Tanzania is leading Kenya. How can we compare Diesel Engine and Electric train?
Electrifying is very easy and the Kenyan SGR is cargo first then passenger second. Transporting cargo is what will actually pay for the infrastructure
@@herb1003 Well dear, it is the same for Tanzania, once completed it will operate for cargo as well. Will connect Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Congo.
