Brother Kevin you’re truly a blessing. I sincerely believe you can help me with a big problem. I need tips on how to improve my picking hand. I can’t seem to develop a smooth technique. Can you do a lesson on picking technique. Thank you
Doc Wilson, I loved the way you started that major scale on the root C with the pinky. That seems to make it easier to mix the Cmaj and the A min scale! That has juice on it LOL Thx bruh!
An ah-ha moment! So, this demo is what is meant by, "playing the major- minor?" Where you combine the major and minor Pentatonic scales. Sounds bluesy! Love it! Thanks for sharing!
NO ONE EVER TALKS ABOUT FINGER POSITION... MEANING WHICH FINGER YOU SHOULD/COULD USE FOR THE ROOT.... IN YOUR EXAMPLE YOU ARE USING YOUR PINKY BUT I HAVE BEEN USING MY INDEX FINGER.... WHICH IS PROBABLY WHY I DONT SOUND LIKE EVERYONE ELSE... NO ONE EVER THINKS ABOUT THE DETAILS.... THEY ASSUME EVERYONE IS DOING THE SAME THING... WHAT IF SOMEONE ONLY HAD ONE FINGER? SO I THINK IT IMPORTANT TO NOTE WHICH FINGERS ARE PLAYING THE ROOT NOTES BECAUSE THIS COULD CHANGE HOW I PLAY. THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY A SCALE AND NO ONE HAS EVER CORRECTED MY APPROACH TO PLAYING A SCALE. SO NOW I HAVE TO LEARN ALL OVER AGAIN USING THE INDEX FINGER TO PLAY THE SCALE WHICH I DO KNOW HOW TO DO BUT DIDNT REALIZE THAT WOULD HELP ME PLAY THE CHORDS ALSO.
A bless night to you mr wilson, i just came across your guitar lesson, an am impress thank you

Thank you for that lesson. I will add it to my Kevin Wilson playlist.

Can you explain or break down your picking techniques. 🤔
