For you non-pilots: This is an extraordinarily skillful routine. As the narration says, the airplane is taken right to the edge numerous times, not only with the wing tip strikes on the ground, but the near-stalls every ten seconds. A great job that I have seen at shows several times.
One must be an absolute master of flying this and many other aircraft to make it perform as such without breaking his own neck. Over the years, I've seen far too many wannabees break their own necks, may God rest their souls. One need not terrify other pilots to terrify the crowds. Just focus on making a SAFE show, not a terrifying show.
I like to tell my beginning students, "The airplane has more hours than you, let it help you along". "You are there to help it along, a little". I then demonstrate the ability of the plane to do stall recovery and to recover, itself. Lastly, I show again the stable turn and how it helps in the traffic pattern. Also stability and self-recovery. And I use this all the time in instrument flying. Trim is king!
Michael Laviolette I used to road race motorcycles, and that was a similar situation. You had to be able to let your bike do what it is going to do, while at the same time being able to make it do what you want it to do. Once you can master that you'll do just fine.

I saw that same "farmer" routine at an airshow in Amarillo Texas. I totally fell for it, didn't realize it was a gag until it was over. That and Bob Hoover at the same airshow is the best flying I have ever seen in person.
This is the most intense aerobatics performance I've ever seen. Wow. It really looked like he was going to crash. It's shocking how little modification was done to the plane. That's really amazing.
That entire routine is awesome, but I think my favorite part (even though possibly the most mundane) is at 2:15 when he disappears briefly behind the hill then reappears in a vertical climb, followed by the thumbs up out the door. Something about that shot I just found really amusing.

Holy crap that is some skillful flying man, props to that guy. When he dived and bounced off the ground was a big butt pucker for me. You miscalculate that a little and you’ll literally break the fuselage.
I've seen many "Flying Farmer" acts based upon this steal the airplane situation, and I never get tired of them. The first I witnessed was in Waterville Maine with the same layout. I was perhaps 12 years old making the event 1951 or so. So highly skilled these pilots that I have ever since been an aviation freak.
Back in the 1970’s I saw a Piper J-3 clip wing Cub fly a similar routine at an air show. I think its number was N432X. Among other things, he would approach two trees and roll into knife edge flight at the last second. I’m amazed at what these planes can do with a skilled pilot. I have flown in my day, but not like that. Bravo!
