@@papigringo5692 it is the opposite of what you are thinking. They aren't doubling what they bet. They are trying to limit the damage. They are increasing the chance of splitting the pot and not taking a loss.

@@Arbiter710 Did you see the coolers before that hand? This session looked like Party Poker on steroids. It's not like she had the second best hand. She's losing to a boat and nut flush. It a much harder call when you're stuck which is the case for her since she lost with Aces earlier.

@@Arbiter710 It's hard to fold that hand no doubt but it's also not an automatic call either. Ramsey would've turned the boat if he stayed in the hand and her call would've been incorrect. Since there was so many people that limped into the hand it increased her odds of losing with the second nut flush.
Since Nick smooth called her 4x bet on the flop he had to be super strong or had the nut flush draw. Only reason I would call his bet on the river is due to the quick check back on the turn. Either he had the stone cold nuts - a boat - or he missed his draw. Her stack is so short that she has to call or else she's getting bluffed too often.

Ramsay's doesn't make sense plays.2,4 flops two pair and folds. Why play 2,4 in the first place 5 ways if your gonna fold it. Its always gonna get reraised on the flop.

That’s why he bet to see where he stands. He made the right decision and was playing solid. Could be losing higher two pair, set, made flush. And out of position not very comfortable to play vs wet board.
