Recieved my c12 few days ago sorry using c5 for more then 6 months. I think my hands are more suitable for c5 and it's power. C12 too powerful for me. I use c12 at around 50% on cammus app and 50% inside game. So almost same power as c5 or below. But c12 have more details indeed. I am enjoying interchangable wheel rim as I got GT rim for acc and 14" t rim for truck sim. Very detailed video. Amazing work. Thanks.
Really informative vid. I was almost sold on the C5 but i always wanted my next wheel to have a larger rim than my last. Not sure how i feel about there being a slight electric pulse off of it. I constantly get static shocks as is. Would have liked to see you do some drifting with this wheel also to see if it's even smoother being a larger rim
Bit of a side note, but if you don't connect pedals or shifter directly to the base, you can use it as a phone charger. Connect your USB c to usb c cable and still get fast charging 👊
bro i noticed 2 thins immediately.. 1 the in game fps is now smooth.. and your audio in the rig is MUCH clearer and louder. Please keep these settings. Video is great. the is is the perfect hotel room iracing setup.
I currently own a Moza R12 but I'm still quite intrigued by the C12. I do like the idea of the base not being a bulky thing that my monitors have to sit on top of. That said, I really think they need to develop a version without a built in button plate. I think that's the only thing that would make me switch for certain. I also wonder if the DDWB feels any different these days, it looks like they've updated the base a bit with new buttons and shaft. I had heard the newer firmware for that base has made it a lot nicer.
You're strong as an ox. Would this be more than enougj for someome like me who is more average in strength and uses a csl dd8nm but just wants that bit more?
Yes. It’s so much stronger than the csl dd, if you want it to be. But the main wins here are the quality, larger rim and the great form factor. You do need to be ok with not being able to change steering wheel rims though.
Hi, really enjoyed your simexpo coverage, really appreciate the effort. Your the first I heard mention the exact problem I've been having of feeling an electrical charge from the C5 base, I ended up connecting a wire into one of the base screw and then to ground. Fixed the charge feeling and all my disconnect problems I was having, not an ideal fix though. Did you figure anything out? Or hear anything back from Cammus regarding it?
11:44 my android tablet does the same where i can feel the charge through the frame. Is that not normal then? It's a slight buzzing feeling, no shock obviously as I'm typing on it and not in hospital.
Some good advice here already. Is your device actually overheating or just getting hot? Those motors are designed to get hot, with passive cooling. They’ll be very hot to touch. But unless you’re losing ffb, definitely don’t change your wheelbase unless you want more power or something.
A lot of those are so the specific positions for the rotary encoders. You can switch them between absolute and relative positions in the software. Since I use mine (on C5) as relative, most of those "buttons" aren't available. One negative on the C5 (& probably C12) encoders is that at least in relative mode they can't handle fast turns through multiple notches. It may get fixed with software/firmware updates, but right now if I turn mine 3 notches quickly, it'll still only register 1 notch worth of rotation.
This has mixed results with wheels nowadays. It’s usually best to give the hardware 80% gain and manage the rest in the software. It makes for far less harsh details, without needing to add damping. Hope that helps
This is great value and form from Cammus 👌🏻 how you're only realizing now that the analog stick can control the mouse🤣 my formula V2 does this and I took for granted that this was the same on all wheels with this analog stick 🤷🏻♂️the look on your face is priceless 😮
@@LaurenceDusoswa are you for real? :) So cool to see your reaction :D Fanatec wheel Porsche RSR also has this analog on the left side. Same functionality :)
The r9 is less powerful and has less functionality with an ES wheel. And crucially, less good ffb also. Not that the r9 is bad. But this c12 is on another level. That being said, I haven’t used the latest moza firmware that claims to transform the r12.
@@LaurenceDusoswawith no quick release, it is a no no. I also have suspicions about its build and ffb qualities. A misplaced less money is more expensive to me. I prefer R9 to it. I don't even argue the superiority of R12 here.
@mkatakm it doesn’t have a quick release. But objectively, the ffb and functionality of this wheel is far better than the r9. If you want to change rims easily, the r9 is better.

Great comment! Good insight into the life of a real owner.
Still very happy with the C5 for now but great to hear this is a decent step up for an FFB boost in the future.
Yeah stick with the c5! Upgrades are often not worth it when you are already having loads of fun
Cammus came out with a formula style rim for the c12 a week ago.
Yes… I use it in this video 😅😅😅

Gonna try do a dedicated drift video for this one because it was already longer than I wanted it to be

Hahaha Nice one! No power issues? I guess it all works as expected
It is just a usb hub with 2 usb-c available for pedals and gear shifter @@LaurenceDusoswa

Hahaha yeah the 60fps helps. And my hangover helped my voice 😂😂😂
Nice haircut! Good video too
Haha cheers. Did it myself😅😅😅
Bonjour, merci pour test et validation du produit.😊

Brilliant video I've had the c12 and lc100 for a few months and upgraded to the gt wheel better the normal wheel

Yeah it does appear to be a grounding issue. It’s very odd.

Yea not a shock as such but if you touch a sharp edge with a sensitive part of your hand, it will hurt

I've got about 1k to spend on a base and rim any suggestions as to what I should get? Currently on the moza r9
Why would you change it! Invest in better pedals, PC upgrades or something completely different.
@@phelanpritchardgaming6194 pedal wise I have the fanatec v2 which I'm ok with. sometimes the r9 can overheat

96 buttons?! I can barely remember what up and down do on my sequential when I'm in a stressful race 😂

@@danielisbellsounds more like a feature to don't change settings too fast in a busy race. But you're right, it should be adjustable in the software.
but why arent you lowering the force feedback in the game while keeping the strength 100% on the wheel ...

@SergejGrabun yep. I have never had a wheel where it just works properly with one click.
Run a ground to your rig
Happens when away from the rig too. I have plugged it in in isolation. Also, all of our plugs are grounded here in ireland
With only $28 more, you can get an R9 v2 base + ES wheel, a much better combination. A proper dd setup at least.
