We're kicking 2024 with one of the most technically impressive mechs in Lego's history, full of both clever and elegantly simple building techniques. The team have clearly taken lessons from Jay's Titan Mech, the Samurai X Mech, and Zane's Titan Mech. A new golden age of Lego mechs is upon us! I look forward to all the new forms the designers come up with in the years to come. I'm so glad the designers feel confident enough in their designs to reintroduce bendable knees. I wonder what innovations they have in store for us in the future... As for this mech, I love that it comes with a hangar side build. When I was younger, I enjoyed coming up with plots that involved the characters when they were resting between battles, or equipping the mech with extra weapons before a big fight. Picked this up at the Lego store in Manchester in the UK. So great to see the Monkie Kid line still in some physical UK stores (although such a small section next to Ninjago). Loved the build process of this mech, everything felt so sturdy and secure during the build and the articulation is great. Love the workshop side build aswell, adds some real value to storytelling and gives me Eva, exo force, and gunbuster vibes 👌🔥
Lucky. Over here in Germany there is a single store that sells the Monkie Kid sets, and it is way to far away from where I live. At least the online store sells them.

I love this set so much! I got this day 1 & I’m currently building now! I definitely agree with the comment about the helmet. I really wish Lego would give us a 3rd helmet for Mei because her 2 other versions with the helmet are my favorite versions of the character. I feel like the value is definitely there. While a $10 discount would be nice, it’s not that crazy compared to Mei’s Guardian Dragon from last summer that was a shocking $25 cheaper in Europe than in the USA. If you’re already a fan of Mei or of large scale Titan mechs I definitely recommend picking this one up!
I live in the UK, I just had to have this after getting Mei's Dragon, I ordered this as soon as I could and it arrived yesterday, I just love the colours and the overall look of this mech, it's got to one of the best Lego Mechs so far, I've started my new year with a Lego revival after I stopped buying Lego sets about three years ago, I joined Lego's site on boxing day and ordered myself some amazing Lego sets (Viking Village, Mei's dragon, Mei's Mech and the Auspicious dragon) and can't wait to get building again!

i tried gundams but now that lego is so good with it i’m just a lego mech guy. knees make it way better, i think im gona take apart zane’s mech when i get this
Hahaha, sad but true, $100 is an alright price for this considering how expensive this theme has been. I kinda like this more than the monkey king mecha. The repair bay structure thing is what does it for me, I’m curious to see how how it scales with my gunpla models.
I actually disagree with you on the sword. That looks like a perfectly rational, sort of cutlass combined with gladius feel that I really enjoy, and it's the perfect size for a short sword for the mech. Also, I feel like it's not poseable enough to give it a greatsword; and besides, I feel like we have too many LEGO mechs with greatswords. A nice change of pace. Overall, I do quite like the mech. It looks phenomenal.
Your comments are spot on but just the mech for $65 is enough. It's another set (IE: Gringotts and Vaults) I would want but will never own due to price and side builds I don't care about or want.

Monkie Kid is flying under the radar considering the pieces and designs the sets within the series have
Its probably cause you cant watch the show outside of china (officially) and you can only get the sets directly from lego website
It doesn't help that they always seem more expensive based on price to part ratio compared to other sets

Could have lived without the yellow column construction just to have a cheaper set.
