    I have some questions about the install video...first off, in the beginning he mounts the brackets incorrectly. Also, he never mentions which hose goes to the top of the radiator and which goes to the lower side?
    Your written instructions are just as vague!
    Nice product but lacking really bad on your instructions!

    Nice product for the price you should not have to cut into any hose using hose clamps. You should include a new set of lines which go all the way from the transmission with no hose clamps.

      kell490 I agree kell and I understand the anxiety it would cause because I had the same thing done to my 98 tahoe. It worked perfectly fine. If you want a compete line set it would increase the price quite a bit.

      Agree the lines should be steel braided and go direct too the transmission with ends that screw right into it.

      Have you tried replacing that rubber hose? The way it's clamped onto the steel line is a *bear* to get off. You'd have to replace all the steel lines as well for a commercial product. I switched mine for just hose clamps on the hard lines and it is much more likely to leak. By cutting into the rubber line and using a t you have a much more secure connection that you can crank down on without worried about crushing the line.

    Does it matter where each house goes on cooler upper or lower hose

      Nope! The cooler is not directional.

    I just purchased both oil cooler and Transmission oil coil. Im very excited to install them. I just have one question. Could I use blessed silicone hose for the Transmission cooler rather than the supplied tubing as all may hoses and tubing are blue silicone and im trying to keep the uniformity.

      We do not suggest using silicone hoses with transmission fluid.

    Which hoses go to which part of the cooler? Eg, which part of the hose goes to the top and which part to the bottom? Or it doesn’t matter?

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  3 роки тому +3

      The cooler is not directional so this wont matter, however the hoses naturally will fit on one side better than the other.

    Another question. Won't you have to add additional Transmission fluid to compensate filling up the cooler? I saw a video with a cooler being added to a Tundra and they added about 1 and a half quart of additional fluid.

      Add approximately one quart of Jeep-specific transmission fluid to the system. Remember to check the transmission fluid level while the Jeep is running.

    My transmission is running hot around 190, will these help it bring the temperature back down to a good temp?

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, the transmission cooler should help with keeping the temperatures under control and keep them down.

    This video let some doubts: What happen with the original transmission cooler ? Did you remove for repace it. Or put this as additional ?

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  4 роки тому

      This cooler is installed as a additional cooler as we splice into the OEM lines without removing the OEM cooler.

    do newer models have a Transmission cooler already installed? my 2010 does not have one and i went in the other day at a dealer and seen thought the grill of a newer model and seamed as it had one.

    The price is just too high, Id love to try this and see if it really is a big increase in temp but comparing a kit you can buy in an auto parts store and brackets that are simple to make I just don't see the worth and benefit to use this product. Can you really guarantee a huge difference?
