BTS always sound way better LIVE. they sing live so beautifully. the best part is when they change up some of the notes from their usual keys. the part where u mentioned about jimin's "cry" that wasn't "perfect", actually that was just perfect. it's his signature singing style; his vocal fry and cries. it helps him to emote his emotions especially the pain, into the emotional songs that he sings. they do each hv their own unique style and its wonderful cos u can distinguish each of their unique voices in every song they sing.
Yes, the pretending to be frozen on Vlive is a thing with BTS. If you watch the video for Dynamite, Jungkook and the guys did it when he was holding the donut and was seeing his line in the chorus "So watch me bring that fire, set the night alight". 😊
They are completely professional and efficient at what they do but we just get the pleasure of seeing their goofy sides. Check out the behind the scenes footage to their grammy performance. I was so impressed to see their rehearsal, they didn't need much direction, they just watched the playback video and directed, fixed and perfected the performance with really good teamwork, they are so in sync with each other.
The part where RM and JK sing "marry me" in perfect octave unison is sooooo crazy, because the actual lyric there is "remedy." That was one of the weirdest BTS mind-meld moments...

They switching from goofiness to professionalism in split second, that is why their stages personas so iconic but when off stages they are these great people who make things fun out of thin air. I love them so much and the more people love them and react the better. Yes their music videos are wonderful but whatever make you happier then do that. Yes I love Jin's dad jokes although I am young, and there just were so many times they were so lame but it was funny because he laughs at his own jokes.
One Direction is similarly chaotic and fun to watch. They worked hard but had a lot of fun as well. In the documentary portion of their San Siro concert movie. their director said they can't be produced. are impossible to direct and can't be controlled, B but they always pull it off. It's great to see them...and BTS...still making it fun and not taking themselves too seriously!.

They had almost no time to practice as a group but they made it happen.
