Hey. Thanx very much for the information. Last night I went to a Best Buy to purchase an Apple MagSafe battery: it was an open box buy. I was surprised at how little it stuck to the back of the phone. Getting familiar with the item I couldn’t figure out why the battery wasn’t showing in the general tab. That’s when I did a search and your video came up. The battery was a counterfeit. Exactly as the one you featured. Someone had scammed Best Buy, purchasing a real MagSafe battery and returning the counterfeit. I took it back and together with heads of the store and their tech I laid out all the indicators in your video. They gave me a refund and I bought an unopened version. At the checkout one of the tech managers asked if I would open the box so they could compare. They were amazed at the differences. Seems they’re putting a memo out to their corporate to be on the look out on returns. What’s sad is someone getting one of these that would never know.
Much easier way is to attach Apple MagSafe to iPhone. Go to settings>General>About>Scroll down just past carrier lock and if it’s real Apple it will appear here… you can take it on and off and watch this screen change. Also, it will show model and firmware. If you have 0’s in firmware, it is probably brand new, if 2.7 it is used
Thanks. I definitely bought a fake one. My friend let me borrow his authentic battery pack and it does appear on screen while my counterfeit one doesn’t.
I bought what was supposed to be an authentic Apple battery pack from eBay but there were some red flags. Your video help determine that it’s a counterfeit.
I bought one at the flea market today. Box was real, battery pack was real but it included the fake 1 sheet info sheet. When I attach it to the back of my phone, the big circle is green while the small one is white….I guess I got the real one with the fake info sheet? Btw I only spent $25. So I’m not at a total loss just in case lol
Wow!!! Very interesting… I can’t believe These Scammers are willing to go through all this work just copy and paste The Apple Logo on their work… The Scammers are clearly skilled… Thanks for the info Brother, 👊🏾🇳🇬🇺🇸
Thank you for this video. I have just purchased one from eBay and I will be looking for the differences. I also noticed the box inside had gaps on the fake one and not on the original
Fakes became even better now.. they have stickers and better print and same logo on pack itself only thing that prooves if its real is comes with 1 paper in box
Warms alot coz it has no temp control No chip just charge The best to know if its real is price 90-100 dollars US is basis Its really different It gets warm a little when u plug it in on 50 percent but cools when reaches 70plus and trickle to 90 then stop It wont charge when using alot processing power to not destroy battery Folks ur phone is pricey battery is essential for apple coz apple silicone is fast need power to make it smooth Dont cheap out on battery pack Save it its worth it if not proMax U have promax no need battery pack 😊
Yeah, I just realized that I got a fake one, but, for the price and functionality, I don't even care. I also think the fake one showing the charging status of both the phone and itself, is better than on the real one. I'll stick with My $20 rep. The packaging and coloring is identical to the real one, as well as the logo on the back of the pack. I'm good.
I'm curious--isn't a changer bank a charger bank? Why would a fake, or another brand announcing what it is, be a problem? Not trying to be snarky, I really am wondering. Thanks in advance :)
Because people are trying to pass fakes off as Apple Original products. Fake products are always worse than the real thing. From lying about how much battery the power bank actually holds to the internals being completely unsafe to use.

@@Tartchalice you have to have a iPhone with MagSafe capabilities, so that would be iPhone 12 and up
Fakes will never work better don't lie to yourself.
Is it safe for my iPhone to use the fake one?
Wow!!! Very interesting…
