Total 13 was 1998, we will never see its like again. For me its up there with Never Mind the Bollocks, Appetite for Destruction, and Earth Vs the Wildhearts. All those albums have one thing in common - the bands were young and hungry (and skint) when they wrote them, and now that they've a few decades under their belts (and millions, in one case) reproducing the same energy that drove them would be near impossible. People grow, tastes change. Would you really want a facsimile of Total 13 in 2018? It was of its time, as were the others. Backyard Babies are a great band with a good time agenda, and I'm glad they're still around. Shovin' Rocks ain't gonna rewrite the Rock'n'Roll song book, but it's entertaining in its own way.
I agree with you steve - although id quite like a new total 13 !! this sounds like when hanoi rocks reunited , its arlight. ill always go and see em play ,but like many groups ill shout for the classics not the new single
I love it and I am a fan for 18 years now!! They have serious rockers and funny party songs!! Its a good single in my opinion! Will buy the album and visit the shows of course!!!
Me too. Saw brand new hate on MTV 17-18 years ago and thought this band is ok so I went to see them in Dublin. Enjoyed the gig so much I followed them to Belfast to see again. Even got one of Nickes picks. Been hooked ever since.

This track grew on me over time, it goes better with the entire album... which overall is really solid, much better than their previous imo. Loads of quality tunes

I'd rather hear TSOL or social distortion or circle jerks or something like that this reminds me of a one hit wonder band or something I wouldn't listen to all the time ...to much overlapping vocals... over produced way to much...at Least there doing it more than I can say for myself Somtimes bands try to Cool when there not this band is one of those bands for sure..

It's got a typical BYB feel to it. It's not their best but it's still a good single. They've not released amazing stuff for a while now but they're a band I've loved since I was about 13 and I'll always support what they do.
Not thrilled with it, but I've never really liked a BB album all the way through. When they are great they are really great though. I'll get the new CD when it's out and give it a chance.
