It's so refreshing to see a musician from Korea just vibe to her song and be herself! No choreography, no outrageous sets. And yet, absolutely authentic. I am afraid that CL won't *win* the charts and shows - which seems to be the metric for Koreans to judge who's the best. But this is good music, the whole album is just brilliant... And it'll be a shame for Korea / the K Pop industry's supporters and K Pop fans if this album's brilliance is left to be judged by charts and shows. Alpha has songs that will stick with me for years, and I would have never imagined saying that about a pop track. I wish there was a better way to thank CL for this album than award shows and charts. I would love to see solo artists and groups sing and just feel their songs in videos, like this one, with no dancing in massive sets. When pop feels this authentic, this real, it's an incredible testament to CL's artistry. This song is so fresh too! It's a whole new vibe and still current and has something for everyone. It will be fierce to see CL perform this.

Knowing that this song was supposed to be 2ne1's makes so much sense. After reading the English translation, the vibe and message of the song suits the group's image. @@maguita05 it is actually CL's ad libs, but she has confirmed this song was supposed to feature Bom, Dara, and Minzy. She shared a recording on TikTok of Dara singing the lead-up to the chorus Bom singing the chorus. The idea was scrapped because Minzy's schedule was overbooked and she couldn't record for the track. With the message of ALPHA as CL's album with no features, I like it as a standalone, but also can't wait for a reunion track with all four of them. We know that they now all have the freedom to do it, even if they can't call it 2NE1. In my perfect world they would perform this song together as four if they ever did a reunion stage show.
