cool little knife... just 10 times more expensive than I would pay for it!
Great review! Thanks for your take on the Aller!
I feel like this would be a good bartender knife. Pop a bottle, but a lemon, maybe break a few chunky ice cubes...
Good to see your take on this knife!
It's a bit expensive but I can get it cheaper than MSRP so it appeals to me slightly...I've been wanting a small watch/5th pocket knife for cutting box tape and stuff when I'm carrying one of my more expensive knives. I like the fact they used good steel even though it's small. I was looking at a cheap Kershaw Pub but it's not good steel.
It’s not really for me. However, as a school teacher, if we were allowed to carry a friction folder, I would be down. It’s better than no knife but it’s a last resort for me.
Man 136? ...thats way pricey...I would have guessed about 50 bucks and thought that was high....My mini grip retails for 80 bucks on amazon, same blade steel.
It's like a Swiss army knife done wrong. Too avant-garde for my unsophisticated taste. Conversation piece? Sure. It might as well cost a bazillion dollars... :P
My dad always had an Al Mar money clip with the Swiss-army style knives on it when I was growing up. He lost his several years ago. I was considering getting him another one for Father’s Day but I’ve been wavering back and forth on getting him that or the Benchmade Aller. Any thoughts?
get him 2 Al Mar clips and almost 40 bucks worth of something else instead of the Aller.
Actually I'm seeing Al Mar clips for 40 bucks, so get him 3 and keep the other 20 bucks.
Brewhound77 I hear you. I’m not really worried about the price. More worried about getting him something he’ll like and use. He should like and use a clip he’s had in the past though.
If hes anything like my dad, he'll love something he had before way more than anything new
Brewhound77 you’re probably right .
Youcan get the pukko from them in 3v for that price
I’d really rather see a somewhat closer to a normal drop point style blade and without putting that piece that sticks out when closed.
Does anyone out there actually use it as a money clip?
To be honest, I wouldn't buy it if they were asking $20. It's just not my thing, but I can see the attraction for travelers, or weird gadget lovers. It's definitely different, and to each their own.
what's your PO box, I'm gonna send you new tape measure lmao
Too expensive.
It’s not really for me. However, as a school teacher, if we were allowed to carry a friction folder, I would be down. It’s better than no knife but it’s a last resort for me.
