Dima, you want to see real intense choreo from their earlier days look for Intro Preformance Trailer , boy that will blow your mind.. the intensity of that is really something else .. what I admire most about that is people used to critisize Jin for not dancing well but when you look at it, he matched every move step for step without any mistakes 👍check it out👍👍👍
Jin is very underrated as a dancer. I think Supertuna showed everyone his unique style!

This was the first BTS mv I ever heard and as a 60 + year old who detests rap and hip hop, it was a real eye opener. From the moment it popped up in my UA-cam feed it piqued my curiosity so I watched it and I was hooked. I looked for more and after watching No More Dream, Fire and Dope I was totally head first into the rabbit hole. Nearly 2 years later I'm still here and they are now my grandkids😉 and I love them...especially Jungkook he's my bias. I'm so glad I found them as they make me smile every day. 🤗💜
Hi Rose - I'm also 60 + and also consider them to be my babies. I found them over a year ago and am in deep. Since I had recently retired, I had lots of time to devour their content... watching their videos, listening to their discography and following a couple of reactors. I knew I was in this for good when I started buying their albums. I actually like all genres of music and that's what has made this journey so awesome... they do it all! @@marshamason-sowell4568 Hi Marsha, I recently managed to get a couple of there albums...gave up new trainers to get them. 🤭 My husband and I are retired too but we only have his pension at the moment so I thank heavens for UA-cam as I can watch so much on here. I'm still discovering new songs and videos every day. Watching and listening to BTS has given me so much entertainment. I'm going through their game show at the moment. I've laughed so much with them. They are so funny, kind and such humble men that I can't imagine how awful life would be if fate hadn't made them all meet. Sleeveless shirt is Jimin - he said that was "back when he had muscles". And that choreo pulling up those shirts is one of the things that got them the start of ARMY. They have matured as dancers but there was still no other artist doing this 9 years ago that I can remember...but again, I am old so I have forgotten some things...lol. Even in these early videos you can see the result of the hours of practice they put in to be the best!! They exceeded the standard for being able to actually sing and dance at the same time. No matter how hard hitting their dance is you never hear them miss a note while they are singing in live performances. Truly amazing artists, each and every one of them. Love them all!!! Enjoy as you play catch-up. There is still so much you haven't discovered yet!!!!

Yay you went back! Woopwoop! They were all dieting and ripped at this stage with fear that they might not debut etc. So hence the abs flashing. This is why I’ve been saying to go back and watch in chronological order cos you see their development and they’re freakin amazing! It’ll be a fun ride for you.
Suga is the palest for sure, they prize white skin in Korea so he slathers factor 50 sunscreen on in huge layers and he says Suga is also a name Bang PD gave him the nickname cos of his sweet gummy smile and that he’s so white 🤣

PD Bang original vision was HIP HOP BTS, they then evolved and now carry a more variety of genre in their choreo and music.

how they dance depends on the song that they are singing. in each song their dance routine mirrors the lyrics, in 'butter' you had smooth as butter dancing, 'dynamite' was disco with disco style dancing, even look at the dancing for 'on'. so for me their dancing goes with the song.💜
But the choreography in a whole not just theirs had come such a long way since then I was still dancing then and it’s changed so much from when I first started to when I finished, and even more so now omg so much! Like for instance Brian puspos his choreo back then compared to now changed so much and is so good, every choreographers choreo changes but their style is obviously the same just gets better. If you get what I mean 🤣💜💜
The differences of choreo derive from the mood & tone of the songs and the trend as well.

Hundred percent ! I’m same age as suga and I know exactly that determination when I was dancing that year choreography has changed and developed so much since then it’s crazy to see !! And that’s the point I was trying to make in this video a few people may have taken offence to it but that’s no way how I was meaning it why would I bag the boys in a bad way when I know what they’re like ! Just like everyone in life no matter what profession you progress and you get better as years go by! 💜

Yes they were so young... when this song was released at Debut in 2013 they were only aged from 15 to 20 years old. 😅

One of my fav choreos
They hadn't made it yet and were practicing 12-16 hours a day. Their changes were described well in the video 'The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS' by Rice Squad. I believe you've already watched the 'Intro to...' video. This one's a bit different, talks of the history of KPop, and how BTS evolved.
Yeah Jimin's 6 pack was very defined, he was totally ripped in the early days as were his were biceps and triceps and did you see his forearms. His Pec's weren't that bad either.

They were so young and so hungry. You can see it.
Their choreo does vary a lot over the years based on the song, but I definitely think there's some stylistic evolution too. This is where they started.
Edit: yep, that's why we say Hobi is boneless. I love this trick (but I'm glad they don't do many of them moving forward, for safety).

Oh, and at debut there was a lot more difference between the strongest dancers and the others! You can see it pretty easily. Within a few years it's a lot harder to see.

@@DIMASWORLD okay, off the top of my head are two recent excellent examples - Butter at the Grammys and RunBTS at Busan. For that one, the concert is awesome AF but you need the dance practice to see the choreo. For Butter, the live performance is great. There's also a behind the scenes if you want to see how they prepared it 😁

OH, you gotta see the real video. This was on their debut stage, song #2. They were very young, jung kook 15, jin 20. When J-hope kept doubling his knees back for that move over and over in rehearsals, it caused great injury. Water built up in his knees and surgery was recommended. Instead the water was drained off and he had bed rest, later bandages.
We almost lost our main dancer and dance stage leader.
Hi, when Jimin joined BTS he was already very muscular, arms, abs and thighs. The management even encouraged him to lift his vest and show his abs. Poor Jimin got a lot of hate saying he was fat and ugly, he did have chubby cheeks at that time. He later put himself on an extreme diet and lost a lot of weight, and muscle. So sad really, and that was the time when tgey would call him Mochi, because of his chubby cheeks
People were so cruel. He was just young. But they were all so desperate to succeed at that point - I'm sure every criticism really hit.
He still works to keep his weight down but he talks about it very differently now. He sounds like a boxer who has to make weight.

This was during their debut era, when they were still basically unknown, so they did a lot of flashy choreo to catch attention ^^
And, yeah, Jimin was ripped back then. Originally they were all supposed to have abs for that lifting their shirt move, but eventually it got decided that Jimin would be the only one. I think in part because of his Modern Dance background he was already quite familiar with developing muscles ^^

They most definitely were !!! a couple people were getting the impression that I was saying they weren’t good here ( which wasn’t the case one bit) I was just pointing out the fact at how far choreo has changed since then and mentioned even when I was dancing back then the choreo was so different and changed so much just over 3 years let alone 9 but I think as soon as I say something like that they get on the defensive and think I’m speaking bad about our boys which I’m not because why would I when I know what they do and how good they do it 🤷🏽♂️💜

That’s a big word there Joyce 🤣🤣🤣 biggest difference is how far the choreo had come and changed / evolved in 9 years, 9 years ago no one was doing hard choreo it was a lot easier ( for everyone I’m not talking about bts here ) and as the years went it got harder and more intricate and overall better than what it use to be because like everything over time it all gets better, and that was my biggest thing I was trying to make of this video and apart from the obvious when I was mentioning how little the boys all looked 🤣 I mean they were only babies really and that’s pretty much what I was saying 🤷🏽♂️🤣💜

The hat trick was a trick. Jungkook doesn't really catch the hat. If you watch Jimin while Jungkook is dancing you will see him put the hat back on his head.

I think I understand what you're trying to say (though please correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't want to put words in your mouth. Plus I'm not a dancer) Maybe it's because back then it was so tight, that you could tell it had been rehearsed for 16 hours a day, for weeks on end (sometimes months yes, true story), because they were still quite 'new' to each other, as people, compared to now where they rehearse whilst knowing each other for 10+ years. I imagine that has a big impact on the 'feel' of the choreo, I.E nowadays I think it feels less choreographed, step by step, even though I know that's not the case
No no more so at how far choreo has come in general ! Not just theirs, obviously theres too. But say for instance Brian puspos how far his choreo has come from then to now, still same style but changed so much ( if that makes sense what I’m trying to say 🤣 ) or even keone, every choreographers styles remain the same same for bts their sharpness cleanliness all remains the same but the choreo has come a long way from back then to now because obviously it’s evolved so much 😁 I hope that everything I’ve just said I made sense and not just rambled on 🤣💜💜💜💜
