@@RobPostal Take it from me, those memories will be some of the best you can give her. My late grandpa was a trucker who used to do coast-to-coast, but he stopped and only did closer jobs once me and my little sister came around. When there were local jobs he'd let me tag along and help out. I still remember this one time I got up at 2am to go with him to run to Westminster for a few crates of medical equipment. Picture a full semi truck just parked in the middle of our little suburban street, waiting for lil ol' 9 year old me, at 2 in the morning. It was kind of funny. We made it there and back to San Diego before rush hour. Another time we were going around town to drop off freight to local customers. We got some McDonalds for breakfast first, and he parked his truck on the side of the main road because there was no way we'd be able to pull it into the parking lot. As I was getting back into the truck, there was this guy walking down the sidewalk, and I guess all he saw was a little squirt climbing up into a full-on semi without anyone else around (my grandpa was already on the other side getting in). He had the most bewildered look on his face, I'll never forget it. Even back then it was hilarious. He died just before covid hit, on January 20, 2020, after battling through medical issues for over a year. He was loved by all, and was one of the best drivers his logistics company had. I even have his 2016 "driver of the year" award trophy, a crystal-like slab of acrylic, still sitting on my desk. He gave it to me because he didn't want it. I'm just glad I have so many good memories to remember him by. Try to do that for your daughter. Even if she doesn't value the time spent with you now, I'm sure she will later.
some customers prefer to wait until packed, or watch it being packed. I'm fine with that, and I figure they had a bad experience in the past. Thanks Andrea!
good question. Another habit of mine, but it is to cut that 1/8" off the bulge on end, so that when you finish taping and measure the length or width, it can normally be rounded down and not up to next inch. Actually makes a difference in cost on some measurements. Thanks for watching jak!
This sounds crazy - but this is a business I have wanted to start for a LONG, LONG time in my area. What is the competition like around you? Do you do a lot of advertising? You mentioned you are a franchise - I would love to hear more about that. I owned another franchise business for about 5 years and sold it…. So pretty familiar with the model.
hiya lems, that is not crazy. It has been a great business for me. Step #1 - location. Most important. Then you need to decide if you want to buy into franchise or startr on your own. I looked at opening a UPS store, and chose what I have now. The software and tech support that comes being a franchisee has helped me tremendously. Feel free to email me through my bio if you need more info, happy to provide more details for ya. thanks for watching!
dang it debby some tearing stuff up lol. and you yeeted that marker lol. you should still put a cam on nick lol and it looks like he had a supervisor today :D
So glad your safe! I love watching these videos, it calmed me down for some reason and, I want a job at FexEx when I’m older, so this is some inspiration 😀

These videos must be so cool to watch when it’s the customer watching. They get to see how good their item is packed. ❤

I’m lowkey obsessed with your videos, they are just soo satisfying ❤️
I am totally ok with that, thanks Pamela!
Just curious, what's the tap on the end of the box for (e.g. at 16:53, 17:01)? To make sure the flaps are straight or something?
