Air Defence Alert III, sonar III, Rapid Reload III, increase in top Speed (36 ~ 38 knots), Precise aim III, Smoke screen III, increase in Main battery range (12 km). If possible maybe torpedo tubes 😀 (just like Venezia). Maybe Engine acceleration III skill too.
Des Moines is strangely burns so well. I mean really. It is like it has 5% fire and flooding resistance. If you face against a HE spammer and he is kiting away, you suddenly becoma a pile of ash. Just give this ship a better tankiness and second radar 1, that is pretty much it.
I think they should give Des Moines theTulsa guns, but in triple turrets. The DM gets buffed and it is more historically accurate because they both had the Mk16 auto loading guns with the same ammunition.
DM was my first T10... Dont play it very often anymore, not sure why- its a great all-arounder, fun, and can be a real team helper. Kinda weird the meme-ish DMx3 didnt do so well!!! I agree... DM is one of the forgotten and left-behind, power crept tech tree ships, and an armor buff would be perfect, and make her the beast she once was...!!!
If they didn’t want to give it a range buff, they could give it a couple uses of spotter 1. I don’t even think it needs that though. It really needs a turret traverse buff and armor buff. It’s a brawler with no armor. Give it Woosters armor value for value and I’d Take a Des Moines any day. Wooster has some black hole armor that makes everything bounce or over pen. Des Moines when I play it feels like it has a gravitational pull towards its citadel.
I think a video on good island play in Des Moines would be great. I can think of a few guys you could recruit to help out with that one. The really great Des Moines players know how to use the rocks to their advantage.
Give it more range is probably on most peoples list. The Des Moines just needs some small changes to really make a great ship and more in the meta. Like more HP and range would help the ship at ranged gameplay and brawling where it does really well.
Turret traverse increased will help allot, range and better top speed. Make it more a CA mino 👍🏻 APCS, Kincaid and Historical camo will greatly increase the playability 🥳 but it still needs allot of love
Never played DM, so I don't really feel qualified to comment on necessary buffs. But if I had to guess, I'd say the range needs an increase. You shouldn't be dependent on the legendary module. A legendary module should offer an alternative playstyle, and not be a necessary buff. If the range would be increased to standard, it could offer the possibility of turning the ship into a long-range HE spammer.

It's a good ship but you need to play the map. It just needs some love to compete in the growing meta

Range buff. To at least 12 km. And +1 radar (sonar, possibly?).
Automatic small arms like the German ships would be nice 👍

I believe her range is fine even without the module but make her tanky and would be a unique experience at tier 10

This and the Gearing were my first T10s; the legendary module was a much-needed addition and APCS helps a lot against enemy CAs/CLs and BBs.
Like u said it don't need much,but i would love to see a premium uss Salem,but that is just me.like the Tulsa, but would like too seen Salem more.
Just buff the range to 11.5-12km and it would easily be a meta ship, esp with decent turning allowing it to dodge shells at range.
I can still remember how did my double Des Moins team melt a Republique in 40s, really impressive.

Shit range and dispersion @ range is awful. Kinda meh speed to.
