What left me in a state of wonder? The first time I saw the ocean. I was twelve, and I remember being absolutely stunned. I grew up in the middle of the US, and the biggest body of water I'd seen was a lake in a state park. When we went to the Pacific Ocean, at Morro Bay, California, I couldn't even begin to imagine so much water, collected all in one place. Forty years later, I'm still awestruck by the ocean. What left me in a state of wonder? The first time I saw the ocean. I was twelve, and I remember being absolutely stunned. I grew up in the middle of the US, and the biggest body of water I'd seen was a lake in a state park. When we went to the Pacific Ocean, at Morro Bay, California, I couldn't even begin to imagine so much water, collected all in one place. Forty years later, I'm still awestruck by the ocean. I love her in all of her moods.
