About The Rose
The Rose is a Korean indie rock band comprised of four talented members: vocalist and guitarist Woosung, vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Dojoon, bassist Jaehyeong, and drummer Hajoon. Renowned since their inception for electrifying performances, The Rose quickly became one of Korea's most sought-after groups delivering a series of critically acclaimed albums that resonated with fans worldwide. In 2019, three of the band members temporarily went on hiatus to fulfill their mandatory military service obligations, during which Woosung pursued a successful solo career, releasing captivating albums and embarking on sold-out world tours.
In a moment of sheer joy for their devoted fans, The Rose reunited during one of Woosung's performances in South Korea in 2022. This reunion paved the way for their first full-length album HEAL, which was inspired by the transformative power of music and the stories shared by both their fans and themselves. HEAL soared to #4 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart, while their accompanying HEAL Together World Tour drew an overwhelming crowd of over 90,000 attendees.
Now, with their highly anticipated second full-length album DUAL, The Rose takes their music to new heights. Building upon the emotional honesty and vulnerability showcased in HEAL, this latest offering explores the profound concept of 'balance.' Seamlessly merging light and dark elements, The Rose masterfully weaves emotions and sounds, capturing the dualistic essence that defines their music.
더 로즈(The Rose)는 대한민국 인디 록 밴드이다. 보컬과 기타의 김우성(Woosung), 보컬 및 여러 악기를 다루는 박도준(Dojoon), 베이스의 이재형(Jaehyeong), 그리고 드럼의 이하준(Hajoon)으로 이루어진 이들은 2017년 데뷔, 화려한 라이브 실력으로 전세계 팬들에게 수많은 찬사를 받으며 대한민국에서 가장 인기 있는 밴드 중 하나로 떠올랐다. 2019년에 김우성은 솔로 앨범을 발매하고 성공적인 활동을 펼치며 솔로 월드 투어를 성황리에 마쳤다.

Dojoon's voice screams power while Woosung's gives you the emotions.. The Rose collectively make such beautiful music. Moreover the topics in spotlight enhance it even more "what if we were all the same, what's the point of all the names" "Who is there to lead the way or who wants to" It's a simple question but it's just so deep when you think about it.. "Rushing to nowhere" that's surely what's happening to the world right now, we're getting nowhere.

When I heard the lyrics and the melody for the first time I thought how incredible the music video would be, during the concerts I couldn't stop admiring the energy they had in Wonder, and now seeing the Mv, their outfits, the instruments, the lighting and everything it is wonderful. Who or What has left me in "Wonder"? That's easy.
After 4yrs of f'ing torture via PTSD/Childhood trauma therapy and EMDR , all of a sudden in April of this year, everything started to shift. The Rose's music started to creep into places that have been swallowed up in darkness my whole life. My brain allowed me to start retraining it, and slowly start to put those memories where they belong. In the f'ing trash where they belong!
Music has always been what helped to keep me tethered to the world; some of the worst days, it was barely by one cord, or one lyric, but I stayed to fight.
It has always helped me understand my emotions and helped me say what I couldn't trust myself to say. So in the Rose APP, when I say these songs, this music of yours has been my life line? That's no f'ing joke, it's real talk.
I still have much work to do, but I feel the light now. I KNOW I'll be ok. Someday.
The Rose is my Soul's home.

What left me in a state of wonder? The first time I saw the ocean. I was twelve, and I remember being absolutely stunned. I grew up in the middle of the US, and the biggest body of water I'd seen was a lake in a state park. When we went to the Pacific Ocean, at Morro Bay, California, I couldn't even begin to imagine so much water, collected all in one place. Forty years later, I'm still awestruck by the ocean. I love her in all of her moods.
