i think the reason gifted kids tend to not do so great is because at a young age they just get things, so they dont put any effort in to learn more because they already know whats going on in school. Eventually they get to a point in school where not paying attention is going to screw them over, school caught up with their brain. The habit of not putting work in is hard to change, and they just struggle to actually put in effort, and then just quit.
Joe is such a reliable youtuber, his uploads are consistent and are uploaded commonly, I've heard people say his content is quantity over quality, which is flat-out false, his quality is his humor and personality, which is, as I said consistent. I am a true Bart Fart till the day I die, it shall be engraved in my tombstone.
For me and the people that I know that were "child geniuses" the thing that made us give up like you said wasn't the fact that life didn't have purpose, it was the fact that people always held you to a high standard and the anxiety of worrying if you will disappoint ppl was too much
Yeah, and at one point or another the non-"gifted" kids catch up and it hits you like a truck because you haven't developed the skills to study what you don't figure out immediately.
@lucasd5304 I haven't had to deal with that yet. I still get really good grades without studying. Bit I can see how that would SUCK.but the ppl at my school are really not smart so you must go to a private school or something lol
@amandaking4654 damn that's unfortunate. I enjoy reading books but the thing that turns me off about them is that teachers force really bad books onto you and make you annotate and all this extra shit. It just makes me never want to read
The reason that child genuses fail so often is because they are used to not having a challenge, so when the difficulty ramps up or the point they are overwhelmed, they don’t have a way to cope like people who have had to deal with it for year before. Being smart is not everything, you need experience as well.
