Albania was double in size under the ottomans in the Albanian vilayet but after the ottomans left we were sliced up by Christian Europe in the conference of London 1913. Albanians held various title in the Ottoman Empire and that’s why the older generation respect them because they knew before the communists took over. The problem I have with the ottomans is when the young Turks also known as ittihat ve terraki took over by dethroning sultan Abdulhamid and this made Albanians very angry because we were loyal to him. The Young Turks introduced new laws and higher taxes that were rubbish and discriminatory they didn’t want to listen to Albanian needs ,so we had to revolt.

He built the Arbanas tower of Hilandar. Meanwhile, Skanderbeg started fighting Ottomans and his flag was... Serbian/Bizantine double-headed eagle. Austrian historians having made it black in early 20 century and claimed it was simbol of Albanian nationalism is just made-up... He was born as Orthodox Christian in a family that spoke Serbian. His family was noble since his grandfather Pavle receved land and title from Serbian emperor Dushan. He even addopted the double-headed eagle as his simbol preciselly because it was already the simbol of Serbian and Bizantine states. You can check all I am saying and confirm it.
