I wish more people talked about this masterpiece of a game. SCII is still one of thee best in the series. The music was incredible (especially the Hellfire theme), it still looks great and Honestly, while some of the dialogue lines were odd, they had some solid and iconic voice acting. Especially for English VA in a Japanese game. Knightmare's voice in particular is the best in the series (i also enjoy his moveset the most when he's fused with Siegfried rather than their moves split apart). Overall great game all around, loved it as a kid.
You should revisit it! It's definitely an iconic classic. I 100% agree with everything you said. VA work is top notch, soundtrack was killer, never really played a lot of Nightmare and Sieg but I'm guessing it was a good fusion.

6:32 I miss this game but that’s my problem with SC6, I feel like some of the Characters are washed down versions of themselves and the modes weren’t executed well as in 2. SC2 was a fun game with lots of fun tools to play with and the cool is unlocking weapons, I hope they put more soul as they did with 1 and 2
I feel you man. Its crazy to think SC6 could have been the last SoulCalibur. Its a game based around the idea of SCII but somehow lacks content present in a game thats almost two decades old. I think the idea of what makes a good fighting game has changed over the years to mean tournament and online viability rather than just being a fun experience in itself. Hopefully developers will move past this mindset. The sooner the better.
