While I do know that once the camp served its purpose that it was completely demolished, what I can't find out, preferably in ENGLISH, is what goes on in that area nowadays? I know that it's practically a mass grave, but is it roped off from the public? Is it now somebody's farmland? No disrespect to the thousands who died there of course, but I just wanna know what goes on there and while I know there's a small memorial to the people who died in Albatera, as well as a hut (wonder if anybody uses that as well), how come this is not more known to the public.
@@onepacelli how come the hut was not torn down along with the rest of the damp? And who owns the private property side of that field? Nonetheless, I can imagine how many people might’ve had picnics in that field in the past completely unaware of where they were. No offense to those who died there, but if that concentration camp was never built there at all, that open area seems worthy of having picnics in
Does anybody know what Albatera looked like before the concentration camp was built on that spot? And no offense intended to those who died there, seeing how it’s basically a wide open field now, it looks like, from an environmental standpoint a nice place to be a park and or have a picnic in. If you take all the historical horrors and excavation projects out of the equation that is. But if anyone were to just casually trod across those fields, would they get yelled at for it?
