    With the power drill as load, capacitors voltage dropped down dramatically… I think that if you maintain on the trigger, in few seconds the inverter will shut off due to low voltage.
    Capacitors are useful to cover instant load peaks for small period, not to substitute the batteries…

      the high power stuff suffered because the wires to the battery are too small...looks like 12 AWG. Anything over about 30 amps, or 600 Watts will just have too much voltage drop.

    Hi, I saw that there are brushless motors with rotor inside the stator consisting of coils and there are also with rotor outside the stator. Maybe you build one with two magnetic rotors on a single stator. Success! Ovid from Romania.

    The supercaps storage is aproximately equivalent to a 0.4 AH battery, not enough for a powerful inverter like that. Of course they have some power but for a very short period of time it's almost useless.

      seconds... each cap holds 3 watts if fully charged

      3000F = 3000 C/V
      C = Ah/3600 = As
      3000F = 3000 As/V
      V = 2.7V
      3000As/V x 2.7V = 8100 Amp Seconds
      Each one can hold around that
      which in terms on power would be like
      8100As x 2.7V around 21870Ws
      Which means each one would be able to hold 21870W for 1 second
      considering they all are in series tho
      the capacitance is reduced which means
      300F in total (3000 / 10), then again the total Voltage is 2.7 x 10 = 27
      Which means the energy they store is basically the same, this effect also happens in batteries, they don't increase their energy capacity in series, nor they decrease it
      So basically
      8100As * 27V = 218700Ws
      By using 6kW that would mean
      uhhh, around 36 seconds considering they run out evenly
      but in reality because of quick voltage loss, they might take around 10seconds before it becomes unusable for the inverter

    I did this with a 2500W inverter and a 300Ah LiFePO4 battery.
    the battery can barely handle max load, a touchy BMS that would shut down if it went even a couple ma over max when starting larger motors and the like,
    now, it has 0 issues starting and running well pumps, house pressure pump, compressors and the like

      500F total. it looks like a 6pack of beer almost, they can be ordered off of Amazon.
      they are excellent when handling surge loads like starting large motors

      In parallel. Treat it as any other battery. Capacitors give you the ability to consume sudden charges and deliver power on sudden loads. This configuration leaves your regular batteries alone and allows them to last much longer.

    That’s good stuff SuperCap expensive too, not really impress by the bulb or power tools. IT would be more awesome to see u cook a meal with an induction stove then really can see the power of both your cap & 6K inverter. Thanks for sharing bro..

      Not very long. There is no magic with the capacitors. Their advantage is they can give & take large amounts of power at once. Where batteries take time to absorb the power given. So if you have a source of energy that is sudden not all will be loaded into a battery as with a capacitor it will suck up all the power available until it is full. The best configuration would to have a capacitor battery in parallel with a regular battery. If this is done a sudden load on the battery would be handled by the capacitors as they have no resistance to delivering the charge. This lessens the cycles on a regular battery making it last much longer. Now if the batteries see a sudden charge the capacitors will consume the charge and over time balance the load to equalize both batteries in parallel. Capacitors have an Achilles' heel as they blead power as soon as they start receiving it. If it is not used it eventually will drain off.

      Use the DC switches variable power supply from 0 to 30 volts dc output. 0 to 6 amps.

    how did u charge the capacitors?! and it gonna charge , u r talking in 27volt of series capacitors, and tell us plz, how much of time they gona take tell the capacitors get descharge,and while they descharge,does the out put of the inverter keep 224 volts while the capacitors get descharge ?

      I use a cheap 10 dollar 100A PWM solar charger controller to charge my 28V solar home system. A balance board between the supercaps you need too. Lock on my channel. I build such a 32V solar supercaps system.

    Tried the same batteries pack to see how much would last....sadly, connected with a 12V light bulb it did last for about 20 minutes. Extremely expensive for a short life. You can only use it as a jump starter battery, fro probably 3 or 4 times before recharging, but out there are more economic jump starter that do the same

      This is because they are NOT batteries.. they are CAPACITORS.. they assist the battery for voltage drops not supply voltage for years.. they empty out.. got to get them steady charged on batteries for full effect ;) Take care

    Your voltage dropped severely when you pulsed the drill. That's why you didn't run it continuously.

      There just not that much energy in a supercap. The drill wouldnt run for more than a few minutes before the inverter would shut down because of low voltage.

      Also the drill had no load on it with a decent size drill bit in concrete or steel. However, coupled with 24v lifepo system would make this really something as the caps can provide huge in rush currents for motor startups in Aircon or fridges, microwaves, etc, and take a huge startup load from the battery bank directly, which is one area where capacitors do really help. Also, to get a full 6000w from this inverter at 24v would require around 250+Amps input, which I seriously doubt this inverter could really handle anyhow, the light bulb was small and only used a small amount of current, possibly less than the inverters idle current. That is a decent lot of caps tho, and would be great on a half decent battery bank. Cheers

    This video could have been much shorter.
    It was made to look a lot better than it actually is.
    These caps wouldn't power anything substantial for very long.
    Supercaps are great for supplying large bursts of current for short periods of time.
    Their reservoir of current is a tiny fraction of what a real battery can supply.
    They would be great if they were in parallel with a real battery.
    The caps would provide the necessary surge currents if big inductive loads were started.

    HELP. I have large inverter . it only has lead acid battery settings. I have 8s lifepo4 300Ah battery. One low cell shuts down the whole battery and it is never before it reaches 10.5 vdc to allow the inverter to shut down first. Both my inverter and my solar charge controllers, warn to "NEVER DISCONNECT BATTERY WHEN ON [UNDER LOAD". Running this cap battery in parralell after the lifepo4, looks like it could be the answer to my problem, if it could handle the amps and slowly discharge to the 10.5vdc auto shutoff of the inverter/charge controller. PLEASE look into this to help me and millions of others. If this works like I think it might you could make a lot of money selling these for this purpuse.

      I am thinking along the same line. Can we actually add supercapacitor banks in parallel to dead old lead acid batteries to enable the solar system run water pumps and other household equipment during the day? This would help poor people who cannot afford to replace their batteries in my home country.

    I have an 800vdc, 1000uf, 100A no peak capacitor at home.
    Then I have a 72v input, 240v output inverter. 5000 watts, if I connect the capacitor to this inverter I will have 69 Amperes input? Doing the calculation 5000watts / 72, I will have 69 Amperes!!! So a 2000 watt server power supply could run at 30A, in short order!!! Answer please! Thanks!!!

    So my guess is you run the 100 watt bulb less then a minute, so to build a 100 ah battery equivalent to lifepo4 100ah that would run the 100 watt bulb for 6 hours $450 you would need about 60 x that many capacitors at a price of about $3000 or more, of course the capacitors last a 100,000 cycle 10 times longer then the lifepo4 it maybe worth it but the huge capacitor bank would use a huge amount of space, just for 100 ah battery, not worth it, by solar battery is 48 volt 200ah 8 times as many as 100ah lifepo4, The space and the price for capacitors would be super enormnurse

    Condensator calculation:
    E=12×1000×10−6F×(800V)2=12×1000×10−6×640000=320JE = \frac{1}{2} \times 1000 \times 10^{-6} F \times (800V)^2 = \frac{1}{2} \times 1000 \times 10^{-6} \times 640000 = 320 JE=21​×1000×10−6F×(800V)2=21​×1000×10−6×640000=320J
    Quindi, il condensatore immagazzina 320 joule di energia.
