I actually feel like that's his biggest job in the band. Like, obviously he's an incredible guitarist too, but Tim's kinda awkward and doesn't have that much stage presence. Having someone up there who's just pure extrovert is important and he kills it.
@@toad1312 Goku is Tim and Vegeta is Scott. Many people have at least heard of Tim but if you know who Tim is, you definitely know Scott too. Both equal in my eyes but in terms of popularity, Tim wins by at least a tiny bit. (In a not canon way)

Hi, Thanks and glad you like it. We used a small Orange Amp with both an SM 57 and a Beyer 160 close mic (one of Steve Vai's favorite combos) into a vintage API and a Chandler limited mic pre. Hope that helps, Larry DiMarzio
“Quilted maple top? Siiick. Gold stuff, cutout things.” Besides his apparent beef with light-guys, Scott seems like he genuinely loves what he does and is like a lucky kid who gets to play his dream guitars. Those neck and middle pickups rip, geez.
Everyone's so busy talking about Scott's nose that they never noticed his majestically groomed eyebrows -- seriously, those things are on point. The guitar looks sick and the pickups sound so good. Also love that he went with a satin finish -- I feel like the satin-finish on guitars feels better even after hours of playing.
Scottie: If you're anything like me, and you like to eat, it's cut out to it caresses your breast. Me, the size of three Scotties combined: Huh, that's kind of appealing.
First Jesus picked up a piece of bread and said this is my body. Next he picked up a challis and said this is my blood. Then he picked up an Ibanez and said this is my signature.
For anyone asking if Scott is right about the 22 Fret vs 24 Fret neck pickup sound: Yes he is. Check out this PRS 22F vs 24F video and listen to the neck humbuckers on both guitars: ua-cam.com/video/8TCnptoc2yo/v-deo.html You can hear the 22F 's Neck pickup is throatier, bassier than the 24F 's.It's because the frequencies received by the neck pickup varies as they locate closer or further to the bridge. (i.e.: Closer to bridge= treblier, tighter, sound more closely to a bridge pickup, more modern sounding; Further to bridge= bassier, throatier, sound less closely to a bridge pickup, more classic sounding) So now you know why Yngwie's HS-3 sounds different to Paul Gilbert's PAF Pro on neck position. (21/22 Fret vs 24 Fret, 21 and 22 fret guitars (mainly strats) shares the same neck pickup location) I own both of these 2 DiMarzio-loaded guitars (YJM and PGM) and I love their sound for different usages. Of course you can put a neck pickup at 24F guitar's location but in a 22F guitar, or place the neck pickup as close as possible to the 24th fret of a 24F guitar (Look at Kiesel's Delos model), but those are other stories.
Am I the only one who hears some hip hop vibes in Polyphia songs? Maybe it's the rhythm of the licks or something. I hear quite a few genres in their music, to be fair, and I love it.
Hard hitting, straight drums, some trap rolls, modern sounding synths/effects. Some Soul/RnB vibes on the harmony then you have it. Just discovered em and I love it too, nice blend of genres!

Scott is so underrated, not only is he an amazing guitarist, but hes just a really fun and charismatic guy
Definitly the kinda guy u'd wanna be friends with

Hell yeahhh.. 😂😂😂😂
Dude just ruined my image of both with one line 🤣🤕
Scott: you can't put 24 frets, it influences the tone.
Tim: *actually puts 24 frets*
This is the first time I’ve heard him speak. He’s hilarious.
These are the best product promo vids ever! 😂 I want more!!
Adam Cogan u right
Yeah, between tim and scottie, I very much prefer the attitude of scottie. He is so down to earth and amazing.
I love Tim's style and trolling
Same here. I don't know if Tim is just putting on a character but most of the time when he opens his mouth I wanna punch him
@@lmlCOBHClml definitely a character
Tim's riffs are what give polyphia their signature sound but I always preferred Scott's solos
What exactly is their signature sound ? Scott provides just as much originality to the band as they all do
Nahhh, Scott's tone sticks out like a sore thumb m8
@@osanakoma366 Tim's hooks, unique riff writing and melodies + Scott's solos, phrasing, spark = Polyphia.

DiMarzio: Please talk about your signature pickup
Scottie: Yes but look at the back of my guitar

Really awesome that these two nutcases got their own signature pickups. 😂

Eh, its literally pairing a hoodie that is 69 sizes larger, then get some super tight pants.
Hard agree
Lol go ahead. Dress like that in public. Let's see how people react.

instant seal of approval right there.
If he decides music isn’t for him then he should try being a salesman. I wanna buy 5 of those guitars after seeing that
That guitar is gorgeous! Love the quilted maple top, and the multi-colored knobs are a nice touch.
This is really random but when I was in New York about 2 or 3 months ago, I randomly saw Scott and Tim walking around near Central Park lol
What a beautiful man. Lot of personality. Great guitar. Now I know why he plays the lower register often. Because it fits and he only has 21 frets.

I don't think people in the comments understand what sound polyphia is going for :/
Agreed

Can anyone confirm or deny whether the signature is named "IGNO" in reference to his nose? As in, "bIGNOse"
I wanna say yes
It could also mean "pIGNOse" (those little battery-powered amps).
That iconic riff tone though WOW
well, when youre stoned 24/7 it probably actually sounds pretty good
Everything about Scott is great lmao seriously I wanna vibe with him

Hey DiMarzio, do you sell replicas of Scott's nose?
Between Tim talking all the time about Hendrix and Scott saying he likes his Strat tone I think they're just secret Fender salesman
This takes corporate espionage to a whole different ballpark.

Man I'd love to see Scott as a lead guitarist for once
He's essentially playing leads. Tim is just playing more complicated leads so Scott's part sounds like rythm
He plays solos too....lead doesnt always mean high notes you know....his leads are 'saucy'
Scott writes half the songs. Even Tim says so in his live-streams. Scott is very underrated but vital to polyphia
I don't know, Scott. Seems like there is enough space for a 23rd fret.
People complain about his tone, but it's a great toned paired with Tim's less crunchy tone. He has more of a... rythem tone to me?
His tone is definitely dialed in for a band. It's a lot of mid range and treble, to cut through the mix.
