Rimuru should be a secret boss you can turn into a friend or foe depending on how u treat him and especially his people. Because legit if anyone hurts his people they’re an enemy. But if u don’t and get along and trust worthy then ur an ally.
If Rimuru was a secret boss in a game I'd see him as being a joke boss. He's a slime of all things, but he's so monstrously powerful that he's practically unbeatable. He's almost immune to all damage and regenerates almost instantly so killing him straight up isn't an option. His entire purpose is to just mess with the player base, giving them an insurmountable wall to throw themselves against.
Imagine the dev just take an inspiration from Maple's gluttony skill. And boom! The secret boss (Rimuru Tempest) has been created. Or Maple's gluttony skill is a down-graded version of rimuru's.

Why not do a "Bofuri and SAO React to Each other" and "Bofuri and Shield Hero React to Each other" with Maple, Naofumi, and Kazuto being Cousins, with the Events Occuring in the order of SAO (Sword Art Online) Incident, then NWO (New World Online) Game, and lastly Naofumi's sudden Disappearance, if you instead go with "SAO, Bofuri, and Shield Hero React to Each other".
