The problem with dropshipping is that it adds no real value to the supply chain. You're not making the product, you're not modifying the product, you're not screening the product based on quality (you can't, because you never physically interact with it), you're not stockpiling a product with a speculation that the price will go up, and you're not actually taking any real world risk at all. So why would I buy from a third or forth party, when I could just buy directly and save money?!
we're advertising, marketing, reaching you; the customer, setting up websites and a user friendly way to buy it, instead of you ordering it from some complex chinese website you ant trust
@@AetheryXklmao, AliExpress is the same as Amazon, it's not complex at all and it existed long before dropshipping leeches ever existed.

How this channel is so small? Absolute amazing content and real truth
I am an Accounting student and I spent a month looking into E commerce before making my decision on doing it or not. I looked into the courses and did not understand how these people were doing teaching and store operations at the same time. I noticed this was very common, many teachers who want 1000's of dollars for hearing them out. I found a consultant E commerce expert who was able to tag along with me so to speak and I wouldn't have done it any other way. its best to find someone who is experienced and is willing to be "hired on" in a way even though they are not an actual employee
I just started dropshipping. I have no hate for the man in this video, and I did not get demotivated by it. He simply just pointed out negative sides of dropshipping for us which for me is a good information to know and to look out for. Might be too soon for me to say if what he said was ture or not because I just started out, but from my knowledge up until now, it is true.

im just starting my store any advice or hard truths you can give to a beginner?
Three things to focus on growing: New Customer Acquisition, Average Order Value, Customer Lifetime Value.
1) Have a solid plan for new customer acquisition. Typically Ad spend.
2) Once you have customers, keep them with good customer service and complimentary products.
3) Repeat.
Hard Truth: Sales are an equation of traffic. Getting traffic will cost you money unless you already have an audience.

@@jdichele so you just agree'ed with me that dropshipping isnt a scam but just hard and difficult, you legit just said that. grocery stores buy other company products for cheap and sell them for a marked up price, thats exactly what dropshipping is, buying something for cheap and selling for a marked up price. the only difference is that you dont physically hold inventory and thats it, its not that complicated. wheres the scam in that??

Honestly, I understand what you’re saying but I truly am not selling anything. Yes, this video has a hook with its title and intro but it’s a requirement these days for views on UA-cam. I truly post everything for free.

I'm simply showcasing statistics related and providing another opportunity to make a money with Shopify. This video actually motivated me more and it’s just what I needed before launching my first store. Instead using so called ‘winning product’ tools that show the same cheap product to over 100,000 other people I’m looking for a way to differentiate and stand out of the crowd and maybe stand a chance instead of ending up wasting time and money like 90% of people. I’m sure there’s a lot of money to be made here but it will require a lot of work and creativity. We need more videos like this rather than how to make $1,000,000 in 24 hour type of shit.
@@nightwatch2686 how much money do you think you'll need to spend and will you be filming your journey and screen recording the process, even if you don't put it on social media and only keep it for yourself so if late you change your mind you'll have the footage and can use the clips to learn from your successful steps and your failed attempts.

@@onlyagreeingsometimes I already invested in recording equipment but its just the time factor. Im not leaving my fulltime job until I am making more in consistent profit for 3 months.
Update: I launched my store 3-4 days ago and already have 3 sales of $40 each and 50% margin (all from organic/SEO) from 100 vistors. I dont even have inventory yet so ill start running some ads after I recieve inventory.
For transparency I have a background working as the lead copywriter for a company focused on helping people launch products. So even though this is my first launch, I do have some skills that are helping me.
And I believe having skills and understanding the competitive nature of dropshipping is saving me a lot of money on launching the store.
Ill answer any questions anyone has interms of copywriting, SEO etc but I wont reveal my product yet as its my first store and I want to see how this goes.
It doesn't necessarily mean because someone is doing a course on dropshipping that they don't do dropshipping, yes they may not be doing millions in profit, but they teach others to get in on the business model, so if those people learn they may earn an extra few squids as the English would say. And maybe they can figure out how to do it better or learn to use the platforms for other thing since they got their feet wet. I don't know where the feet wet saying came, but you get the idea.
