The fade at 2:46 from the right ear to the left ear is really cool. You need to pay attention, and listen closely, but it’s quite noticeable if you know what you’re listening for.
The last time I heard this song, I was driving up Pikes Peak in the middle of December. The increasing elevation seemed to go along with the entrances of the higher instruments and the key changes lol
Rush really loved this time of the year! His telling the "Thanksgiving story" is great radio! Every time I hear Manheim Steamroller, I'm reminded of him! Miss him so much!
FINALLY! I get to see these folks perform in Duluth, MN on December 14! I’ve loved this music for decades and THIS is my favorite. To see them perform live was a bucket item I had for so many years. Love to you all!!
This is one of my all-time favorites ever since my kids were small. Now, they’re grown with kids of their own. Hope they keep with the tradition of playing it during Christmas!
I love the recorder and percussion sections of this song. I heard my schools band perform a melody including this song earlier this month and it is a really pretty song. It is often erroneously cited as Davis's inspiration for Carol of The Drum.
I used to listen to these with my late great black cat Raven every holiday season. Merry Christmas in Heaven, beautiful girl. One day we'll see each other again. I miss you 💔🌹💔
I find it funny and interesting that these are the same guys who did the C.W.McCall trucker songs.Definitely very talented to be able to do that range of music.God bless them one and all!
Me and my family were decorating the Christmas tree listening to some Christmas music, and as soon as this music came up- I fell in love with it! ITS BOOTYFUL! C': I luv et~! ^u^
This was one of Rush's favorites
Merry CHRISTMAS

That would be called panning.

Absolutely miss Rush. He made Mannheim a staple of the Christmas season, for decades.
God Bless yall. Merry Christmas.
I also miss Rush, but am glad he is not here to see the evil that has befallen America. Praying for God's intervention: Luke 18:1-8

Do you mean Limbaugh... Did not think a comment could make me rethink liking this song.
@@sharrein5327 thats a YOU problem. During the Xmas season he brought smiles and laughter.
@@sharrein5327 Yeah, I meant Rush! Rush Limbaugh! He loved the Christmas season! How about you?

I always listen to this song every July.
This MS song has been a longtime favorite of mine
Introduced to this song on Rush Limbaugh who played it every Holiday. RIP Rush and bless MSR for making/playing such a moving composition.

Goose bumps every time. Helps me remember who the boss is.

Remind me of rush limbaugh
This is one of my family's favorites.
Whenever I hear this song I always picture a slow motion snowball fight
That is a whole lot nicer than the official video for this but also fitting.
I can see that. Except I think it would switch to fast mode for the drum interludes :)
I know the word "Patapan" represents a drum sound, but it's always a funny name to me! 😆😅🤣😂
Thanks @hrhcollection for your great charity work by telling us the name of this masterpiece.
M.S. The best Christmas Orchestra of all time's.

I think of fairies or little elves when I hear this song. And they are doing something innocent and pure
This song makes me want to dance and I’m 67

I would watch Mulan one and two the last time I put up a full sized tree. That was awesome
Sounds like a Christmas march.
Onward Christian soldiers!
Pat a pan and tick a tock!
pat a pan..what someone does with a towel when washing dishes to dry the rinse water
I always thought Patapan was one foreign word, not three English ones.
is this an ocarina solo? it sounds like an ocarina or a flute xd
Not a flute. That sounds like a recorder of some kind made of wood.
How are you a UA-camr your one of my teachers at school?!?!?!?
