But his newer videos...I'd say generally aren't as good as his older ones, with some notable exceptions. 2020 for the most part has started to improve again on the comedy side of things however, his last 2 uploads were really good in that respect for example, but as for the SM64 machinima aspect things have just been going more and more downhill with more and more use of Garry's Mod at the expense of barely any Mario 64 anymore usually, aside from being used for like Mario himself. Which I don't understand really, like, oftentimes I find the SM64 looks much better than the GMOD, particularly for background locations like Peach's castle, and often looks like more effort than plain GMOD ragdolls all the time, and SMG4 was like the king of SM64 machinima too, and yet that seems to be getting thrown out the window more and more and I have no idea why. I don't have a problem with GMOD, he's always used it and it can look good, but there's not enough SM64 anymore in my opinion. But enough on that, that's just my personal problem, but I'd say he's still very much worth subscribing to despite that, he's still funny, and like I've said recently the comedy has been improving a lot compared to 2019. (The most recent episode Mario turns into a Communist Dictator lol).

Now it's just anime characters or anime obsessed characters that either aren't funny or try way to hard to be funny.

Super Mario is supposed to be the main focus, but oftentimes it now feels like the only Mario thing about it is that Mario is the main character and whenever anyone jumps the Mario jump sound plays. Other than that, the actual Mario characters besides the Bros. themselves rarely get any significant role and it's mainly the OCs and weeby anime things and things that have nothing to do with Mario. Look at Toad and Bowser, Bowser has started to get some screentime again, but it still ain't much. After the Anime Arc started Bowser and Toad have practically been cut from the cast, especially Toad, he basically isn't in the series anymore aside from "Oh he's just that grumpy guy that sits on the couch all day" and that's it. Wario and Waluigi are rarely significant anymore, although their few appearances (Mario Alone and Wario Tries to Stop Himself from Dying) were great and some of the better recent episodes. Similar reason why I don't like how Splatoon has been stripped from Meggy's character. Now she has little association with any Nintendo IP, when before at least she was a Nintendo-related character and thus kinda fit with the Mario theme. Her entire purpose was Splatoon, but now that that's gone she's just another OC and her entire reason for existing in a MARIO series doesn't exist anymore.
I'll give a quick opinion on the SMG4 Characters (Modern) Mario - Ok, hasn't changed much Luigi - is unfortunately starting to show up less in smg4 SMG4 - ok, but is also less present, I hate how he has his own voice clips now, they feel so un-natural Fishy Boopkins - Annoying, he was WAY better when he was just a secondary character that appeared on random episodes Bob - less interesting, he was also Way better when he was a secondary character that appeared on few episodes. Also, the Bob Raper arc was pretty pointless. Meggy - they f*cked up on this one, she is isn't a splatoon character anymore and her new design was completely unnecessary (same with desti's death, like come on, they live in a universe where 1-Ups exist) Saiko - Unfunny and unnecessary, why did she became a main character? Tari - Very Unfunny, i'm sorry, but an SMG4 episode gets boring when she shows up (at least meta runner was good) Axol - Pointless, he should have stopped appearing after the anime arc ended, but he is now a main character smh Shroomy - honestly, he was fine, but he is just boring nowdays, he should be a secondary character. It is even worse when all of these characters appear at the same time, like in an action scene or just because, the best SMG4 episodes from 2020 are the ones where these characters have less screen time (for example, the episode where Wario tries not to die)
