He really needed better coaching. Dude was training with Mark Coleman for most of his career, who didn't even have a proper gym.

Wes Sims had potential, and his connection with Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman opened up a lot of doors for him... the Hammer House's Project was his official nickname for the longest time.
It's a shame that he lost a lot of his big fights, but he's had some really entertaining rivalries with Daniel Gracie and Frank Mir, that gave us 4 very entertaining bouts with fouls and violence galore
Sims got DQ’d in the UFC for stomping Frank Mir
Wes simms been best pro wrestler. He wouldn’t even had to wrestle, just give him a microphone and let him talk

All respects to the mighty lashley, the dude is a monster, but going against Brock he would have probably lost. Brock has ground skills from hell.

@@Krezo200 - Bobby had only 4 MMA bouts at this point, so against a veteran like *Wes "The Project" Sims* , who was 23-12-1 and had experience on the biggest stages of MMA
(he was even supposed to fight at the last PRIDE event against Fujita, but sadly it was scraped at the last minute... they tried to replace Fujita with Mark Hunt, but the bout was deemed "non competitive" by the NSAC)
was a fair test IMHO.
Bobby was expected to run through Big Wes, which he did, and after that Bobby lost to Chad Griggs in a massive upset (Lashley was a -800 favorite and Griggs a +550 favorite)... it kinda showed that Strikeforce was right to build him up slowly.

Bobby should've committed more to his time in Strikeforce.
Strikeforce didn't exactly commit to him either. No promotion was willing to get behind Lashley like the UFC got behind Brock Lesnar. And committing to training mma full time takes resources that Lashley just didn't have.

@@MrWolfchamp-xi3cu Money of course! Training full time for mma isn't cheap, and having to travel abroad to train like Lashley did makes it all the more expensive.

It's crazy how Wes Sims can come in looking like a bag of vanilla pudding while Bobby comes in absolutely shredded to the gills. Shows how much a skill set actually matters in MMA , muscles are for show to a degree

Bobby Lashley indeed is a great MMA fighter, and one of the best turned-wrestlers in MMA, alongside with Brock, Punk, and Batista. Absolute win by Lashley 💯

He may have lost some fights but least he made it into the MMA/UFC. It’s obvious he tried in all of his fights. It can’t be easy to be a MMA/ UFC fighter. He is a cool guy in person & has a good sense of humor. I know & went to school with his girlfriend and I know Wes. He’s nice to people he sees. He’s not an ass like I saw someone post in another video.
