In today's video, I break down What Playing Raid Shadow Legends after 1 Week Looks Like. In our previous work, we made some decent use of Oboro, but didn't fully get to a point of understanding where and how she plays on a team.

A good checker of progression is to just do the missions. They will keep you on track and teach you alot of what you need to know.

    Alot of info here:
    1) Gear - Your top row pieces of gear (Weapon, Helmet, Shield) all have set MAIN STATS (Atk/HP/Def respectively), while the middle row (Gloves/Chest/Boots) have loads of different stats they can be. Gloves are where you can find a main stat of Crit rate in the early game. As your gear progresses, you want to move to a crit damage% glove while getting all your rate from substats. That being said there's also star ratings on your pieces of gear, 1-6*, with 6 being the best. The higher the star rating, the higher the stats can roll as well as the main stat is.
Boots are typically your most important piece, you really can never have enough boots with SPEED as the main stat, as this is where most of the speed in your build comes from. Speed is the cornerstone of all builds in the game. Take, for example, Brutal Campaign: the enemies in here have ~100-105 speed, if you build your champions to have 200+ speed, you can take 2 turns by the time they only get one, letting you complete the content much easier than trying to go slow and tank their hits.
Also, on this middle row of gear you never want to level any FLAT ATK, Def, or HP as the main stat. You always want %'s, you get FAR more stats from the % than the main, and honestly I don't even understand why they put flat stats in the game as there is little to no value in having them at all.
Accessories (bottom row) pieces come from the Spider's Den dungeon. It's challenging early because of the mechanics, but it's very necessary to build a team for it eventually because of the extra stats they provide. (Being a new player 1 week in, I'd focus on other stuff before I tried to do that).
    2) Arena - It's pretty easy now days. It's all a progression thing, the higher you go up, the harder the fights get. End-game accounts participate in the weekly reset to see who can get the highest score in arena with prizes at the top, but it's next to impossible to compete with them as a F2P, you have to have whaled for years to be up in their bracket.
    3) Dungeons - All the dungeons drop different gear sets. Some sets are better than others. You have to equip a certain amount of items from each set to activate their bonus. (I.E. - To activate the Lifesteal effect on a champion you have to have at least 4 pieces of lifesteal gear on that 1 champion). Dragon tends to be the easiest dungeon to conquer as the stats are the lowest on it, it drops Lifesteal and Speed sets which are the 2 best from it as well as multiple other sets. Spider's den is for your accessories. Fire Knight is the hardest to complete because you have to have specialized champs for it to knock it's shield down then turn meter control him to keep it down. Ice Golem tends to be overlooked by most because the gear sets aren't used in normal builds, it's sets are good for Hydra clan boss mostly. (another area you can just not focus on for quite some time)
    4) Obtaining champions? - All champions come from shards. There are few cases where the game gives you a free champion, the fusions aren't technically free because you have to do all the events to obtain the fragments and that requires a lot of planning and dedication. The summoning schedule is typically every 2 weeks there's a different 2x event for a shard type: 2x Void shards, then a filler summoning event the next weekend, then 2x Sacred shards , filler event, 2x ancients, filler, repeat. You can almost bet there's a 2x ancients every 6 weeks (with some exceptions but it's almost guaranteed). Shards are mostly bought, some can be won in tourneys, and clan boss is the main source of them. The higher the clan boss difficulty you can do, the better shot at shards.
    5) Random thoughts -
Some things you "unlock" at certain levels shouldn't be unlocked then. You really just need to focus on 1) getting your starter champion to 6* level 60 and getting masteries on them. 2) Focus on 1 dungeon at a time. Probably dragon until you get some decent gear. 3) learn and have fun at your own pace. There's loads of resources out there and videos to watch. Hellhades has probably the best site for the game, he can tell you anything you need to know, and has guides for every champion in the game. The content creators for this game are phenominal, and out of all the games I've played, this is the best community I've been a part of.

@@SirFletch I've been playing since 2019 and this is a great write up; the only addition I'd make is that you need accuracy to land debuffs. Roughly 10 acc/dungeon level so you need 20 for level 2, 100 for 10 and 200 for lvl 20 dungeons.

there are some great guides out there that go into more detail but as a suggestion of a sort of play by play of the early game, the usual focus in the beginning is follow the main quest progression at the bottom of the main screen and get the champion you started with to level 60, the main way to level your champions is by campaign farming and getting your starter to 60 will make it much faster. by the time you have a 60 you will likely have a couple champions you can put into a team and then focus on getting your dungeons (usually dragon 1st) to stage 20 (or as close as you can). this will let you start seeing decent 5/6 star gear for your champions. with a team of level 60 champions all geared decently you can branch into some harder dungeons and other content. I hope this helps, good luck and enjoy raiding :)

I would also not invest any books into shaman as she is not a very good champion after the very very early game

in regards to you question about crit, gloves can have crit rate/damage main stat, every piece of gear can have it as a sub stat, except for accessories (ring/amulet/banner) although you can get crit damage both as a main stat and a sub stat on the amulet.
2x summoning events happen every 2 weeks usually over the weekend. they alternate which shard is '2x' this weekend just gone was accents (blue) so the next one is gunna be 2 weeks from now and it should be sacreds (gold)
as for progression id suggest focusing on an aoe damage dealer, orobo is fine but single target. either elhain (your starter champ) or locwain. they both have aoe hits, and give them some good gear and they'll carry you through the early game.
and for leveling champs and 'food' look into campaign farming. be careful using brews in the tavern, using magic brews (blue) on shaman a force (red affinity) champ will give you less exp then using a force brew.
yea this game really doesnt help its new players, but i look forward to seeing how you progess.

potions are available in the dungeons and they are used to ascend your champions. And you should focus on your starter champion and get them to level sixty as fast as possible

Oboro is a decnt champion in the late game, but to start with i would diffinatly focus on maxing whoever you starting champrion was, and put the lifesteal gear that you get from the shaman daily loggins on whoever you chose. before trying to beat dungeons you should focus you time and recources into beating campaign, and once you can beat brutal stage 12-3 campaign, farming other champions becomes much easier

    1. Dont invest much in Oboro she isnt very strong for progression.
First focus everything into your starter champ! Level 60 with all of your best gear, the lifesteal set you get from logging in should be on them.
    2. Clear campaign until until you can farm stage 12 level 3. Also this early dont worry about dungeons. You can get the strongest gear sets for an early account in campaign anyway: Speed and Accuracy.
    3. Clan boss should be your first major goal. The game overloads you with content like hydra and doom tower too early.
P.S. Do your Arbiter missions! They're a good way to help keep you on the right track. Plus completing them you get a lot of rewards and an Arbiter 😊

Some advice is SAVE YOUR SHARDS !!!!! it's difficult not to use them but u gotta try

  • @ElevenBricks
    @ElevenBricks Місяць тому

Getting 100 shards or the other fusion events are easy to get as a free to play. But IMPOSSIBLE to get at the early point in the game your still at. You dont even have 1 level 60 champion yet so youre not even into the early part of the game. You just begining the game.
The best way to seek what to do in what order, follow the arbiter missions. And while in between those dump all of your extra energy into progressing campaign to get those rewards and level your main champ to 60. Once you get 1 or 2 champs to 60 it will feel alot easier to farm dungeons and then youll be able to progress further with the gear you farm.
Which champ should you focus on leveling first? Kael(your starter) will be the best all around champ to level, after that itll depend on what other champs you eventually pull, bit warmaiden(one you can have drop from one of the campaign stages) is a solid second 60.
Oboro is objectively a bad champ, which is why you might be having trouble making her work on ypur teams. However she is REALLY good for Hydra. An end game boss youll see when youre in a clan. Youll unlock that at level 45, but most people would agree you wont really start beating that boss until much later(especially ftp)
This community is extremely helpful if you have questions. Im sure most if not all of the raod content creators would love to collab and help guide you. HellHades, Chosen, Ash raids, Nub raids, etc.

Aight bro, tons for you to learn, too much for a youtube comment but the important thing is to get your starter champion to 6*. In your case it's Elhain, the elf chick.
Now to get a champion to 6* is fairly complicated. You have to feed champions for them to rank up. Right now, your elhain is, say rank 3* and level 30. In order for her to progress, you need to go the tavern, go to the option which says rank up. You select the main champion you want to rank up and then you "feed" three other champions into her. So are normally useless rares or uncommons you have taken to 3*. She is now rank 4. Now you will level her up to rank 4 level 40, feed 4 4* champs to her to get to 5 and so on.
In order to get a champion to rank 6* you have to have the champ you want at 5* level 50. Then you feed in 5 5* champs to get your champ to 6* which is the maximum rank.
Now the reasons you want to do this are simple a) pure power, easier to get through stages. b) you can now use this 6* champions to "farm" campaigns which will let you level up other characters much more easily.
Questions about gear: Gear is pretty difficult to understand but does follow some logic. The number of stars indicate the highest potential of the piece. So 3* = 30% stats, 6* = 60% stats. (for the bottom pieces). The rarity will represent the substats as in what substats you can roll.
For your nukers, you want to get them to 100% critical rate and as much critical damage as possible. The easiet way to do that is to rely on your gloves which are the only pieces that can roll critical rate and critical damage for their primary stats.
thus ends the first lengthy post. But yeah hope that helped a tick...

Well, I think the people that actually did that were just not made for the game then. Games like that are supposed to be played for a long time and still be fun for a beginner at the one hand and a veteran at the other. Giving people the amounts of purple and orange champions you demand would make the game boring and stale really quickly. I wouldn't really enjoy having half the 5* in the game after a year of playing, so I'm glad the rates are the way they are. They also do 2x rates events every 4-6 weeks, that double your chances to get something cool. But remember, not every game is made for everyone and that's okay.
