I tried something different when I was in the Qantas domestic terminal in Sydney. They have 2 restaurants to choose from for PP, but I was just not hungry at all. But saw they sold water so I chose to buy 6 waters (as much as I could carry without looking like an idiot) and a coffee. That way I dont have to pay for water at the airport and can have water available and free when I got to my next destination hotel. Something to consider on your next journey. Hope this helps someone.
Edward Mash One if the PP “lounges” at PDX is basically a grocery store. I got $28 in expensive water, fruit smoothies and dried cranberries.
One reason to use the lounge on arrival is for a shower after a long flight, especially if you have an early arrival or meeting.
Silly questions but:
1. Can you eat at multiple restaurants (say food at one and drinks at another) during the one visit to the airport before getting on the flight?
2. By extending the logic, what's stopping you from opening and closing multiple bills on the same PP to order more food at the one restaurant at one time?

Just a FYI; just finished a flight from SAN to SFO and though to SEA on Alaska. I had a 3 hr layover at SFO. I left the terminal that I was flying out of to visit The Centurion Lounge; TSA not only let me through security at a terminal that I was not flying out of, they also helped me find the lounge. So as you say YMMV. This was also the case for me at LGA. Safe travels
When I mentioned TSA, I was referring to arrivals, not layovers. SFO (and LAX) lets you go to any terminal :)
tsa will let you as long as you have a ticket from that airport going somewhere else
I think that the optimal amount of luggages to bring is one carry on and one check per person because you can carry only up to 2 luggages without slowing you down.
I know this is AMEX not PP but here is a related story. We Recently had the “exiting security” experience at the San Diego Airport. If you are flying in on Alaska Air you will most likely land in the terminal that doesn’t have the Airspace lounge in it. To get to the other terminal you have to exit and then Re-enter through a separate security area. TSA will not permit you to this upon arrival. However, THE GOOD NEWS is that you are allowed to enter that separate terminal on your departure day with your boarding pass. Just make sure to leave enough time to go through security again to get to the terminal that your plane is leaving from.

KAL business lounge in JFK is such a snub and deny entry for "overcrowding" they look at you up and down to check you first.

I appreciate your videos Sebby, I’ve watched a lot of them to decide if i should apply for the AMEX platinum or not.. and i did! If you have time to dive deep (5 mins) into Amex platinum priority pass that would be sweet! Both excited and curious what I am allowed and how it works!
If "you + 2 guests" is too confusing for you then you don't have a prayer of negotiating the points program efficiently, just put everything on Amex and be surprised how points stack up.

What is priority pass?
Just got the PP through Amex. It says 10 complimentary visits per year. Would that be calendar year or my anniversary year of getting the card?
I use a BROTHER label maker tape to identify cards. Rolling 5% categories get new labels on my credit cards every period. Easy to see, looks clean, and when servers/retailer/cashiers/etc see it, they know I mean business! haha
I had to wait around at Heathrow for hours before I could get my hotel. I went to every single Plaza Premium Arrivals lounge for at least 2 hours. Had two of the free meals.
It was awesome.
I love the idea of the lounge on landing.
However I have spent two weeks traveling across Asia and Europe in many cities in the lounge experience has been wildly disappointing.
What cities have you liked/disliked? I've had pretty good experiences in Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. I've heard good things about Bangkok.
Frankfurt, Newark, and a quick stopover on Mumbai. Mumbai was a good and a bad...the only ideal lounge experience. I have walked in and out of two .... super nasty.
Will be doing delta in Detroit and centurion in IAH next week....should both be great.
I travelled across America and to London this year and only used my pass twice, once in jfk where my flight was at seven so there weren’t many snacks in the two hour prior to flight time that they let you in and once inLondon where it was so loud and crowded I only stayed for an hour and didn’t eat at Gatwick. Generally I find the lounges tucked far away like in Chicago and nyc which means I don’t use them. I would rather buy a day pass for the American lounges. Priority pass not worth it.
Hi Sebastian, thanks for your explanations! I was not aware that most of the PP lounges in the US don't offer warm options. I can confirm that most of the lounges here in Europe offer warm meals (at least during lunch and diner time). By the way, I just started a UA-cam channel myself and, if you have a minute, would love to get your feedback as you are a PP owner yourself and experienced with UA-cam. SFO lounge is pretty solid by US standard IMO, the only problem is it constantly gets crowded.
The real question is "why don't you look at the camera straight on" since as you can see in the video your head is angled to the left constantly

I’ve used Priority Pass at Bar Symon in Cleveland twice this month.
At Timberline Grille in DEN, it says you are limited to one use of PP every 24 hours.
What’s the cheapest card that comes with Priority Pass?
PP should really include Fast Track as well. I would gladly pay a slightly higher fee if fast track was included. To get that full airport experience

Good video, Priority Pass has so far been worth it if you travel a lot.
If I get to the airport early and hit a restaurant using my PP through Chase Sapphire, can I then still go to the PP Lounge? Do I need to wait a while & if so how long do I need to wait for the reset?
MSP Airport has the voucher system, I think it was 35$ per person.. pretty good food IMO.

Sebby, I want to like your videos, but I'm finding that much of the time, your videos assume a great deal of knowledge about the topic, which I don't have, so not a lot of the video makes sense to me. For example, on this one, I don't even know what Priority Pass is, and i don't know whether the lounges in question are regular airline premium lounges or another whole network. If you have basic introductory videos on these topics, how does one find them in your vast collection of videos? And how would I know from a video's title that it is for advanced users?
In honesty, my videos are more 2xx/3xx/4xx vs. 101. It's a balancing act since I don't want to bore "regulars" either. I would parse through some blog posts (easier to digest a lot of info quickly).
Bruce M - I think it’s also important to look at more than just one or two videos to help “load” your knowledge. It’s not Sebby’s fault, it’s your need to get the basics down.
I have 4 free visits with Visa infinite card. For each visit can I bring my spouse and my two adult kids? Or 4 adults will use up my 4 free lounges?

Different AFAIK (let me know if your experience is different). I think the idea is that "normal" people only have 1 card.

Have you heard of people buying a ticket to use the lounge to get food/drinks, then cancelling their flight? Seems like a lot of effort just to get some free food and liqour, unless you live near an airport.
Nope, cos these lounges are after immigration check in. There is no way to refund on your ticket, or even to exit without travelling, once you go that far.

Sorry for the dumb question but when you go to a covered restaurant do you actually pay with the PP card? Or do they use it like a membership card for the discount but you also give them a CC?
They register your PP#, and your linked CC will be billed
Just got my PP card from having a Chase IHG Premier card. There was a notice included in the mailing stating that it no longer includes non lounge access. SFO's only lounge is the KLM but has limited hours. Will they give you non lounge access if you depart during the non accessible hours?

Can you use a different lounge than the airline you are flying? For example, I am using a free travel certificate on United but I have the Amex Delta Platinum. Is it possible to use the Delta Sky Club or would I need to purchase a pass through United Club?
Corey OnTV With the Amex Platinum you have to be flying Delta to enter the Sky Clubs.

You can bring it inside the restaurant. Everyone brings it inside, just make sure to keep it near your table.

Yes and I totally agree with you in reference to the hot meal in Asia vs USA and Europe. Americans are way cheap crap snacks, cause we are based on junk. Europeans are soup, toast and lots of cheese, cause they live off of that and the Asian, rice and noodles are their daily live breakfast, lunch and dinner, so that’s why.
I always loved the lounges in Asia, ok European, cause I love their cheese and hate the American lounges. It seem American lounges is made for alcoholics and not for normal people. I don’t drink normally, is now and than I’ll have me one glass of wine, but for the rest I am a water person, so the lounges becomes useless in the states in the USA, unless I want to shower and than that is if they have a shower facilities.

Hey! I travel internationally mostly so its through major US ports that have Centurion lounges so end up using them. I have multiple "premium" cards that provide Priority Passes and have never used them.. Can I just pass the opportunity to any friend/family? How do you actually pay for lounge access? I've been trying to find this and am not having any luck. I am looking to purchase the standard membership. With this I see that you still have to pay $32 to get into a lounge. Is this paid when entering the lounge with a credit card? Is the pass simply scanned and then a card on file is automatically charged? Thanks for your help!
With Priority Pass you get/join the membership which has an annual fee (very affordable) and you have access in those airport lounges and yes you get charge around £25 which is taken out from the card you registered when you took out the membership. When you actually goes in to this Lounges you just show your Priority Pass Card. (Priority Pass has the List of Airport Lounges where you can access all over the world) it has been all worth it for us.
Since March, I've been instant approved for 5 chase cards(my first ever relationship with chase) and been granted a total credit limit of 65% of my income. Should I be worried about a financial review/shut down? And should I proactively lower some of my limits?
It wasn't until AFTER I got approved for the last 2 cards(same day) that I read chase some times does shut downs due to too many new accounts/credit to income ratio too high. I'm just not sure if my instant approvals mean I'm in the clear, or should still worry?
I would lower your credit limits. It's not worth the risk (to me anyways).
What do you mean "auto approved"? I'm not aware of any creditor that just blindly hands out cards without a credit check.

Not if used optimally. If you're actually paying for any guests (i.e., you + 2 free guests but you bring 4 guests) then I believe so?

It works. I've had no problems at SFO and YVR

I've used PP a lot of times and have never been asked for a pin. You usually just sign the paper they give you. This is speaking from PP cards issued via US cards.
back when CSR was unlimited i double dip at the DEN steak house (after 2 hours it resets)and also at PDX hehe... is this still aloud?? or now that its only you and a guess does this mean you can only do one lounge or restaurant a day ?
I've heard 24 hour rule now but things probably change. Player 2 (or card #2 if you have two premium cards) is probably easier.
So I have to have a CC that has Lounge access in order to get the Priority Pass? I see Priority Pass website offers $99 Per year membership pass so is that on top of the credit card annual fee or separate offer?
There's 2 options -- you can have a credit card with Priority Pass Select membership built-in to the annual fee, or you can pay separately at $99 annually. If you have a CC with lounge access, you do NOT pay the $99 a year
