- Quick video showing how i have sorted my 2004 accord high/ unstable idle.
this may not fix your own K20/k24 high idle how ever this working for me.
blocking off the idle air assist valve hose between the valve and intake manifold.
hope this helps someone
thanks for watching
Before you tried this did you have any (CEL) codes i might give this a try hoping to solve my issue
no there is no check engine code with this fault
idle air assist valve
Hey did you have a idle air control CEL code? Like a p0505? I’m still having this issue even after replacing the IAC with a new unit
So you just replaced the assistant valve
was it jumping up the rpm when u let go of the gas and then goes back to normal?
yes how ever it would never have a normal ideal till i did this
after doing this idle is restored to 700 rpm
Same problem as you. Did you fixed it?
@@Jerjesdelosmares yes doing this fixed my problem I later brought a blanking kit for teigwa imports
Wait my idle speed is at 1100rpm when in park will this solve my problem.
Im currently experiencing this but its in a k24 s2k but I have a different intake manifold
Hi mate, I've owned my accord with k20a6 for almost a decade now. There is no engine management light but the car has a dip in power before jerking into life whenever I touch the throttle. This jerking has messed up my cv joint as well 😅Really confused about where to look.
TPS probably has dead spot, most likely and will not always through a code.
@@dillinpicklesworth5698 You are right. I got a new tps and that solved the issue. But there is a new problem. Every time I put my foot down, code p0123 comes on. High tps voltage. I checked the tps output voltage and its at 5.05v at full throttle. Input voltage is also 5.05 so tps is fine. Is the ecu giving out high voltage and not accepting the full power back?
@@AzanAli- did you recalibrate the new one, I'm not sure what the procedure is for your particular car, but it is adjustable clockwise/counterclockwise a few degrees and it sounds like yours is hitting WOT before actual WOT, and going a few degrees beyond, try turning it a few degrees in same direction your throttle blades open.
@@AzanAli- ok, your tps should read 0.5 volts closed and 4.5volt WOT, adjust with closed for 0.5 (key on acc) ground to battery and read red wire on tps, once you have 0.5 volts, lock it down and your done. Hope this helps 😁👍💯
@@dillinpicklesworth5698 I did that. Tps reads .5v at idle and 5.05v WOT which triggers p0123. Don't know what to do. Why is it over 5v.
