When my son was appx 5 years old we went to a zoo in Louisiana as we walked along the paved path there were apx. 20 Guinea hens gathered around something ten feet or so off the path and of course my son took of to check out the birds. Now being at the zoo i felt alright with letting him get a little ahead of me after all we were there for him. What I didn't expect was a cotton mouth on the lawn appx 50 to 60 yards from the river display, but the hens had him surrounded and would not move to let my son by they kept the snake at bay along with my son, awsome birds.
@@trishafisha918 yea, that's what I thought. Guinea fowls have very good eyesight and are like sirens when they spot something off, although I don't know why those ones aren't screaming their head's off.
@@MrChangeordieDepends on size. Guineafowl have generational trauma from snakes in their native Africa. Ergo, when they can kill a small snake they do. They do a peck and dodge attack to try to drive snakes off and if they happen to kill a snake, it's a free meal.
my friend had 2 guinea hens I liked the sound they made unfortunately she had geese they swam in a children's pool the sad part is we found the hens in the pool she started crying I didn't know what to think sorry it took so long to get to the point thank you have a nice day ^~^
I love those types of birds they eat a lot of " Ticks" and Others dangerous insects sco- pee - on , small snakes black widow and trans dracula , giant spider , mini- sure spiders . Yes I'm using play on words 😊😹.
I'm sorry for your loss my friend hens we found them in the children's pool for her male and female geese so sad she cried I hope you have a good day ^~^
I live in Aus many years ago, Eumundi/Noosa area. Watched about 12 Guinea Fowls skillfully stab and kick at a red belly black for 2hrs and none got tagged. It died of minor wounds and exhaustion.
No they are not. I have one too. Its basically like owning a watchdog. Even if my neighbour's cat comes to our garden it will shout to alert me. Not to mention, strangers are not even allowed to enter our garden, it will stay at the door and chase ANYONE.
Anyone thinking about getting guineas, needs to think about their neighbors. I lived peacefully for 17 years in my house, before my ignorant neighbor decided he wanted a flock of guineas. Now, every day at 2:30 or 3:00, the screaming starts. Nobody within 1/2 mile can sleep when these nuisance birds start calling. You may be cool with the noise, but your neighbors will likely not see it that way. These birds need to be eradicated, they are a scourge to urban living, and should only be raised if you can ensure they will not destroy your neighbors quality of living. Be considerate!!!
Snake: wth
Guineas: *The council will decide your fate*
🤣🤣
They're performing some ceremonial dance around the snake to hypnotise it
😂😂😂😂
Big worm. Enough for all of us, so please, no fighting.

I wonder how well they'd do in my part of Australia with the very aggressive snakes like Red Bellied Black snake or Eastern Browns ...
Just would take a few more birds. Snake has no chance against an iill tempered flock of G hens!
They are used as witnesses in Divorce Courts...u know...'hen pecked'
I’m thinking to get couple to deter eastern brown

The original ‘ring cam’. Nothing comes into the yard on their watch 👏👏👏

Nice circiling
They think it is a large worm.
That was a pet worthy snake 😀
Интересно кто больше офигел , червяк или курицы)
Ohooo
Wow
They're accessing if they can eat it, or if it will eat them.. If none of them are possible outcomes, then it's okay..
Those are some fat birds
My Grandpa used to raise these...They are incredibly dumb

Did they killed the snake??
birb

Jen-Psaki-circle-back birds.
Chickens would be busy trying to kill it.
U think so
I thought Guineas were known as snake killers.
Me too
Me 3...every video I see with them and snake they do nothing, same as in this video
so does they eat snake or not?
No.. just rumors

The 7jel
Around?? Those are supposed to kill snakes.

Never saw this when on the farm, as I kept the snake population down via lead poisoning. 😉

Looks Like a rat snake. They don’t scare easily. A black racer would’ve been gone.
raised by vegans
I think they are getting married according to hindus tradition..😂
What is now so funny here...movements-around a snake by the fowls or what? Unless your brain is upside-down, nothing is funny here.
