Olfactory Fatigue is real, it happened to me exactly like Steve described in this video.
People make money off batch hype/hysteria - it's a cottage industry.
Unfortunately very true!
After trying some 2018 batch . I can attest that batch variations are very real!
They most likely reformulated the scent every single time so it smelled differently, they wanted to squeeze as much money as possible. so the early years of aventus are the only good ones.
Do you still split? If so what do you have available?
I haven't for a bit now, so I don't have anything currently available. Been thinking about getting back in the game though.

If you do. Shoot me a message
Honest & realistic & true...!!!
There are so many myths circulating around in the fragcomm, I'm sure a good sociologist or anthropologist would have a field day researching myth generation cycles.
+Tal Hah! So true
Love it Steve wearing a Yankees hat up in Boston, I give that a 5 at of 5😂
I really dig your reviews your definitely one of the most authentic reviewers in the fragrance community bro.
You're killing me with the Yanks hat and the Boston shirt and Boston u banner lol jk. Love this video
NYC hat and Boston shirt? wtf ... hey do you decant?
Hah it's not a Red Sox shirt so it makes more sense. I don't split as much as I used to - is there something you're looking for?
Batch Hysteria is just a tool to sell old bottles for a premium. Aventus is still Aventus no matter which batch you have. Negligible differences don't stop me from receiving compliments. Great vid bro👊
You are correct. With mostly sythetic ingredients used, it's pretty much always going to smell the same. I recently read an article on www.executivestyle.comaustralia that said pharmaceutical companies are making alot of the synthetic ingredients in colognes now. Interesting.
Good video 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent insight and wonderful video. This video cleared up a lot of questions I had. I just am curious is it best to get Aventus from the aventus botique or is Neiman Marcus same? I was also wondering if these sites such as frangrantica are selling legit creeds?
I agree
Best frag vid on UA-cam. On the money.
Best review on Aventus ever! Thank you!
Steve are you still splitting bottles? If so, what's the process, where can I see a list of your collection and how do I pay you?
Nothing available for split now, I'm not nearly as active as I was doing splits.
Im interested in a decanted 50ml aventus, i just emailed you “ricardo orozco”
Great video!!!
ricardo orozco Sorry man I don't have any Aventus left.
😂
The best and realistic review
Would you apply this to 2018 batches bro?
I haven't tried enough 2018 batches to make a full conclusion but I would imagine it's similar to previous years. The entire thrust of the video is that the differences in batches you'll find now don't compare at all to the legitimate batch variations from years ago when the juice first came out. It's been mostly standardized.
Probably way late but did you change the name of your channel? If so when?
+beefcurtainz69 Just changed it to my name, that's all. Did it about a month ago.
Nonsense. I have 4 2017 batches and they all smell different. Not massive differences, but noticeable ones. S01 is citric pineapple, T01 is fresh apple and blackcurrant, V01 is similar to T01 but woodier. If this is what you call mastered batch control you need to get your nose checked.
Sorry man, the juice is not that different. Also, I'm not sure where you got the "mastered batch control" from. They haven't "mastered" any component of it, instead they've normalized it to the point that differences are very small and barely noticeable. If you've ever smelled the batch differences from 11-13 in that time they make any differences now look minuscule.
You said anything I have from 2015 on is more or less the same. Hence they supposedly "mastered" the batch variation problem. I think not. So my 15X01 smells like a 2017 batch? Nope. The difference is even more noticeable than if I was comparing the 17's to each other. Granted, it's all Aventus. The differences aren't major, but they're there all the same. And yeah, I have a few going back to 2010, and still have some of my first batch, 10E01 left. That one could pass as a different fragrance altogether. Its like raisins and sultanas with just a hint of pineapple and petrol. But the differences are still noticeable in all years. Even all batches. I don't think I've ever had 2 smell exactly the same, but some are very similar. Also, aging does help. I don't know why but I've noticed this myself before ever reading about it. A few weeks? No. But a year? Definitely. Like an idiot, I must of wasted about a 3rd of my 14L01 flacon spraying my rug when I first bought it cause I thought it was a crappy batch. It was very linear then and didn't last long on my skin. Today it's a different beast altogether, it's a lot richer and is probably my best performing batch.
Equinsu Ocha I feel bad saying this but reading that crazy diatribe of a comment man is just .... well sorry man your sick, you need professional help to be that crazy not only of a scent but so called "batch variations" of a scent, im sorry if this seems harsh or offensive but my god im just in shock. Creed Aventus is Creed Aventus is Creed Aventus!!
Jeremy Hinze i agree. although ive only smelled my own batch that i have i cant see there being big differences between batches unless its an old one from 2010 to 2013. the batch variation talk is just ludicrous.
To many cry people!!!! Bro
Can we get Oud wood or tobacco vanille splits
I'm waiting on Oud Wood Intense to release and hopefully get it below retail!
If available,
Well I see your point, specially with the statement to let sit your bottle for 2-3 years to get better, thats outrageous. Also I agreed with you with the anosmic effect that Aventus does with all of Us. But I have to disagree that theres some batches which smells more pineapple than others, also overall Aventus doesn't last with some batches, I have 3 different batches and each one of them last different than the other, I agreed with you that its definitely you got almost the same from 2015 to present but You have to test for your self that in terms on Longevity, Longevity is what it makes Aventus different to all the batches. I know you had sell for years with all the splits that you do but It seems that you don't really love Aventus, Is Aventus your signature scent? I saw your cabinet and you have an outstanding collection, for example I just bought SHL Taklamakan I just sprayed 45 minutes ago, as I write this text Its fading away, Im sure if you have Taklamakan definitely last on your skin right? If its that my point of saying Aventus batches variations are true its not because Creed its because our Skin, because Sample matters!!
I don't really consider anything my "signature" scent. Honestly, I just wear whatever I'm in the mood for that day. Unfortunately while Taklamakan is a REALLY good scent, the performance leaves a bit to be desired. I get more than 45 minutes, but it's not one that'll last all day.
You're right that longevity on Aventus has faded in recent years, I was more getting at the arguments people make that different batches have a wide array of actual scent complexion. That's the part that to me is completely false.
