I have 4c hair and I used to feel discouraged because many natural hair Instagram accounts and other "UA-camrs" rarely featured 4c natural girls/women. So I've never felt pretty twist outs or knot outs were even possible. However, I am currently discovering more people with my type hair and am proud to have my kinky tight coils; and with your UA-cam channel I will soon be styling my hair just as beautifully as yours.

PurpleKoco :-D Yes I am always trying to encourage anyone, especially the youngsters. Some of them have no idea how amazingly beautiful and how much their hair can flourish. If they would only take the time to understand, be patient with their hair, accept and gently care for their hair. But firstly, they have to unlearn a lot of the nonsense that society has taught them. It is so important for them to realize that no matter the length or the texture, healthy hair is beautiful hair.

That show that most black women(or their child) are type 4b/4c(based on your views) and don't even subscribe to sistas who are their same hair type. I only suscribe to type 4b or 4c natural hair sistas who have long hair.(because that matches my hair texture). THey would know best when it comes to styling this type of hair. Obviously products(conditioners and shampoos work differently) but styles can always come out the same if it's the same hair type.

Every time I do a style it only lasted for a day. I have to put my hair in an ugly puff. I do sleep with a scarf but my style does not last. How do you make a style last for several days?
It may not be what you want, but adding in gel as the last layer can help, also not using products with Glycerin in it, it attracts moisture to the hair. By the way most products have glycerin because it helps our hair retain moisture, but just get a different styling product for when you want to wear your hair out for several days.

You gotta braid it in the direction you want it to lay
