we implemented the slow start again, really did wonders for the fans
Zero heart today
Season over
They had heart they just couldn’t convert
@@keithbourbon8128 what! Did we watch different games?! Wake up mate this club is shot… did you hear Goodwin say we took a big step forward? What the hell! Couldn’t convert!!!! Same problem for 2 years and they can’t fix it… that’s not even their biggest problem anymore
@@Jraz89 relax mate. Every team will experience adversity. Converting in front of goals has been their issue, yes. But they dominated the contested ball which is a clear indicator of effort. Not like the freo game. Any step in the right direction is a good step. I believe in the boys and club to get through this.
The other thing that could be happening is we could be missing Yze?
Smashed them in contested ball but couldn’t convert. It made every other error look so much worse. Frustrating day.
When a team has more burst speed than you. You have to retreat to your own half. And what happens over the first quarter and a half is the energy in the game begins to even up. Go and watch the St Kilda vs Gold Coast. Man for man gold coast should have won. But cos the retreated to their own half, they mitigated the stronger opponent's energy, and ended up getting on top in the second half of the game.
If we don't play in a way that is defensive in the first half of the game, and slow down the end-to-end running, it brings their burst speed into play. In soccer they call it losing your shape. When our system is stretched to far cos the game is too fast from one goal to the other, then this is losing your shape. If we continue to go toe to toe with teams that have much more burst speed than us, we will likely lose and deserve it. This game is another example.
When playing a side with more burst speed, you have to see off their energy by playing a largely defensive game. And when you have see off their energy, the game can open up a bit. This is how the Saits beat the Gold coast. We have a lack of natural burst speed in the side. We must begin to play according to that, or again, we are going to lose.
I went look you guys were good you just have to keep trying
Stars to sausages, last year was complaining about our forward line now the midfield too... Most players look scared to play! Pickup a big forward and fix Oliver's hemorrhoids!
Petracca embracing Maynard pre-game was a bloody disgrace. Stand for SOMETHING guys. something! The lack of fight was embarrassing. I waited a whole year to see some mongrel against Collingwood and what do they serve up? Utter garbage!
That was an absolute embarrassment, it showed the mindset of this group and the coaching group. How soft are Melbourne? Collingwood would rip apart a Melbourne player if the shoe was on the other foot. Goodwin is so robotic so it doesn't surprise me that he expects his team to play completely devoid of any emotion that might motivate or inspire them to play harder
Couldn’t agree more… so soft… comps easy beats… Maynard went on to bully the entire MFC after that friendly embrace
How dare you loose against these cheats I hate Collingwood. I am Carlton supporter that ruined my day not happy Dan!
Your going to feel like 💩 in a few weeks time you play the pies 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@brianjones5548 Before you know it we will play them we owe them in our next clash
The moment you said "there were improvements" i switched off. Thats just polishing a turd. Unsubscribed.
Appalling.
