Yes, Thank you to all the farmers. I walk for miles in the countryside and see farmers working away at all hours of the day, morning and night. These people in Westminster haven’t a clue and have no idea how hard our farmers work.
I wish you and the general public knew what else we have to go through in order to get planning for a barn to increase production and animal welfare. Over a year on and our planning eco consultants are troubled where the water off the new barn roof will go. The same water that has landed on the same area of grass the barn will hopefully be on. No extra water created but now its a problem and although we have full and fat hedgerows and wild wood land we have to increase our bio-diversity by 10%. However the 400 mtrs of new hedgerow we are planting, cannot be considered as increased bio-diversity because we have a grant for it.
*I'm rather disappointed in the King* ---- He talked about the message of peace in the stable. But no mention of the stable probably belonging to a farmer - Would it have hurt him to stand up and thank the farmers of the UK ?
Just a little story. I went into our local farmshop , picked up a cabbage and took it to the till. The young man behind the till kept looking at it, turned it over in his hands and asked ‘What is this’? I thought, I’m not telling you, let’s see what you come up with. Eventually the young lady on the till next to him leaned across, looked at it and said ‘Oh that’s a lettuce’! 😱🤦🏼♀️ At which point I had to give in and tell them what it was!! The look on the face of the older lady behind me was hilarious! These were two middle class young people no doubt doing some work in the holidays from university! Not a lot one can say really except they then move on to be government officials and politicians 😱😱🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🇬🇧

If anyone thinks that farmers are the only ones buying farmland say hello to Oxygen Conservation a company that has bought 30,000 acres and are planting half of each farm into trees and the other half to re wild, they have spent probably £150 million and want to have 250,000 acres altogether that might cost £1.5 billion big businesses carbon credits.
I recently saw two young men being interviewed who said we dont need farms because there is plenty of food in the Supermarkets and they were not joking,is this the level of education in our Universities?
@@michaelwilloughby406 Ijots in suits!!! Must be something in the water, there are those who seriously believe that we don't need farms because we import all our food. Utter madness, the level of intelligence is levelling to a common denominator of zero in some circles.
@curlew-3592 Truly, unless a young person is very confident in a grounded worldview then yes Universities seem to be producing indoctrinated uncritical ideologues.

You're right, it's all about jealousy and control. Such ugly motivation, characteristic of the abusive relationship this Govt has towards the people.
Yep, it will end in tears, jealousy always does.
Thank you to our wonderful farmers for your incredible hard work every day in all weathers. We salute you 🫡
Stuck Farmer!

Yep, the planning office are out of control, little dictators that suffer from Napoleon syndrome.

Sadly yes. I’m not sure it’s wise to send one’s children to university these days.🤨🤷🏼♀️
