I remember as a child season changes and weather patterns were right on time. Now adays it's all out of whack. Very hard for you crop farmers and herd raisers when patterns are interrupted. I do hope and pray your pastures turn out just fine. Tfs ..
Last year I planted in October, everything sprouted, then we a had a heat wave into the 90's, and everything died off. This year planted in mid November, lots of it is up.
I’ve had that before. Normally in October I plant over 2-3 weeks to try and limit losing everything. Then I can replant if I lose something or just go with what does survive. Do you drill or broadcast? I’d really like to get a drill which I think would have a higher success rate.
I find ryegrass is the only forage I’ve had success growing without some sort of ground disturbance. I really want to get a drill to preserve my summer grass sod, and complete everything in one pass. But dang them no till drills are expensive.

You are right. In the last 3 years we have had the wettest year on record and the worst drought on record. We can’t get away from the extremes.
Fingers crossed for you Ben, I think it will be fine. Heart Face has really grown fast. 🤠💖 Enjoy your weekend!
I think if we can avoid a hard freeze in the next few weeks we will be ok. Heart face has really grown. He was one of our bottle baby runts.

Broadcast, then drag to get some seed to soil contact. I don't currently have the ability to disc beforehand.@@stringerbridgefarm3201
