Underrated video. Why on earth didn't they jettison some stuff when it became clear traveling was too slow? There mustve been great disagreement on that journey. Crozier must surely have insistent insisted on it. I can understand why they took some stuff for possible barter, to create fire, allow them to camp and to ensure some of their work remained recorded but the only reason i can think they didn't jetison is that they thought their journey was much shorter than it actually was. I don't necessarily agree that they thought the ships were going to sink but they did know this was the last summer they would have to realistically escape. The next year they would have had no chance at all due to illness, scurvy, potential sinking and starvation. I don't understand why they didn't create something to make their journey easier - they had carpenters on board who surely could have modified the boats to make them easier to drag. Maybe they had all died but then.
The can food and fresh water maker caused lead poisoning.. asp not being able to hunt due to the sickness of eating the marine life. Staying at the ship was guaranteed death 💀

The Inuit were smart on not letting the men in bc the could have been wiped out like the Indians
Your narrative is shabby. Leave it to professionals.
