Oh yes Jo, in regards to your "dating sim" idea, there _is_ an entire program dedicated to it, called Ren'Py - It's a Studio program meant exactly to make life sims or visual novel types of games, using Python programming language which is surprisingly easy to use for someone who has absolutely no programming knowledge to whip out a small game.
