she is fun, but it’s kinda hard to open people up w her sometimes. if someone knows how to defend li mei you just have to abuse plus frames/shimmies in a boring way. for me, anyway

I still like using Scorpion kameo with her. Every touch is above 40% damage. The conversions are crazy. They jump on a lantern 49%, anti air them with a standing 1 49%, you land a jump kick 49%. Biggest combo I’ve done with a lantern set up is 59% with 2 Kameos and 1 bar. Meterless with 2 kameo bars 55% damage. I had fun trying to figure out all the different things that you can combo off of. Scorpion Kameo isn’t the best but probably is my favorite Kameo to use.

Reiko and goro is being slept on for those who dont know. New buff Makes him more use full.
I find Goro now is even more "one big combo," but at least can make a few different big combos happen. I like that he has utility tools, but dang, that recharge if you get anything solid. But, definitely love that there's a handful of solid and fun options now.

But regarding Havik, what about him is good? His back 2 mid being his only decent button that still gets interrupted all the time by lows and pokes, his one 50/50 which gets annihilated by wakeups, his lack of a proper wake up, and his limited combo ability by himself, clunky af zoning, and his only way of getting decent damage himself is a 2 bar set up which can still go wrong for him
Lowkey a buff idea, give her an amplified lantern that follows her for an automatic pop-up and you could (can) still do follow-up lanterns even mid screen.

How are you getting the second janet hop punch and let kick at the same time? Are you using forward or close janet hop? The timing is so hard to get that lantern on that corner combo 😅

I dont get have to overbuff li mei so hard I get that she is a very uninteresting character and that people would rather play someone like liu kang or scorpion but she already had the best pressure game in the game before the buffs in my opinion

How do you consistently get Janet triple punch? What’s the input?
You have to press the kameo button multiple times while holding forward depending on your input timing you have to do it fast.

Can someone please educate me on why she needed a buff? I personally thought she was already a great character but I feel like other characters needed a buff more than her.
Well Li mei lacks neutral control so she can very easily be outzoned and thus has a lot of bad matchups. Before the buffs she was even more unsafe because you could technically poke out of every string into ex bf1 except for her 124. now with her mid string having a second option its way riskier to neutral duck or poke the second hit. She's to be respected more up close now. Even now with the buffs id give her mid tier at most. She just doesnt have any mid or full screen presence that has to be respected
@@thomas4489 Oh okay I understand now. I use to think her recent buff was totally unnecessary. I kinda still do think that way only because of the insane damage she can do with Scorpion kameo.

Can anyone explained to me why Rewind stops using Scorpion with Li Mei? I feel like Janet gives Li Mei not as much as Scorpion, the damage is even worse most of the times.
armored launcher and grab combos instead of big damage, just more ways open someone up

@@MarHendrix i mean, you still can do armored launcher with scorpion, and he also have an addition overhead to caught your opponent off guard. But you choose whatever you like i guess.

Li Mei players barely complain, the biggest complaints from day 1 has been the t-rex arms and gaps in every single string she has 😂 li Mei is one of the most slept on characters on the roster, and I prefer to keep it that way 🙌🏽

Is having multiple characters a bad thing I try to main at least 3-4 characters personally. On Tekken. Tho it’s like 2-3.
Because of matchups and comfortability. Reiko not giving damage like li mei, Reiko not getting mix ups like shao.

He's a pro player. Being a character loyalist is a guarantee that you won't get far in the major tournaments. If you notice, the top players tend to play multiple characters. And he might just like playing with Li Mei.
